I’m glad I live here. People are friendly, air and water is clean, nice place to raise kids. Man it’s good here.

You have to understand,
I’ve seen more posts about how customers truly love to see their 6 year old “helping them” when they are on kindergarten break.
Or how they spend two and three days at the same customers house.
Do your job. Get it done.
Nobody wants you in their personal space for that long, especially with your kid in tow.
If you’ve ever had a phone conversation with that person that did NOT include the word “windows”
- I will exempt them from the rule.

Boy, you’re being difficult ;). I can hardly think of 5 personal friends I could call this late to just say hey. I guess I hang with a bunch of boring people who don’t like to chat this late… But of course plenty of them would be happy to help out at 1am if I needed it.
@FastFanner, I don’t think it’s really a matter of being some kind of contest, but simply challenging your definition of “friend”. Most of my customers are very friendly (and I’m friendly with them) but I can’t think of any at the moment who I would truly call “friends”. I have a pretty high standard for applying that word. If you don’t, that’s ok. No one can really tell you what your definition of friend should be. I just think that your definition doesn’t fit a lot of the people here on the forum.
Yeah most window cleaners here aren’t all that friendly. I’m not on commercial jobs but I damn sure am on residential jobs.
Lol, not what I meant. I think most of the guys here are friendly… With other members, with customers, with neighbors. I’m sorry if you haven’t gotten that impression. I think most of us have just gotten comfortable with challenging each other’s ideas, without taking things personally.
I believe most of us here just have a smaller group of people we call “friends”.

I’m not trying to be.
But the things I’m saying, brutal as they may seem, have to make sense.
In general, your customers don’t care about your goofy looking kids, who look just like you.
They dont care about your Fly Fishing trip details.
Just do the job, and if you hit it off, it’s wonderful.
But realize that they have lives to live, and they are for the most part… making the best of you being in their house.

I don’t think my customers are looking for a friend they can do that on craigslist they are looking for someone to do a job for them.
Of in the course of the transaction we hit it off and become friendly I’m cool with that but I that’s all I need and I bet that’s all they need
