Looks like that Garry can’t come back. Even Chris tried. :-/
Damn. That sux.
- Well, plant your flag on Garryr.
Make it your own… WE know who you are!
Ok, so a little “just between you and me.” (and the whole internet. lol)
I am vaccinated, and have gone free and clear of catching Corona, after MANY instances of working in peoples homes, by doing what is expected; keeping distance, masks, etc…)
For the past week (looking back) I have had no close contact with people (jobs have been outside only, or inside during closed hours/Sunday)
I DID however, go for a road test with my mechanic (F150 transmission shudder) and he was coughing, this was Tuesday.
-
I had my window down, and honestly by the time I thought about it, we were back at the shop.
-
apparently he has felt like shit for a couple days prior.
-
He told me yertserday, that he got a covid test, and it was negative…
-
HONESTLY? I DO NOT TRUST THAT STATEMENT, RIGHT NOW.
I’m achy, headache, but still have good taste and smell… but Im going to get tested tomorrow.
Long story short, is…I’m beginning to think I shouldnt believe people, when they make claims about covid responses! ?
I’ve made it TWO years, and I might “fuck somebody up” if I find out that Im getting screwd because of half assed personal opinions…
Also, some of those tests arent very dependable. They’ll give a negative one day and a positive the other.
Regardless, I’ll be praying for your recovery (and that is isn’t the 'Rona)!
My teeth are grinding right now… I assume most people wouldnt get sick in this day and age.
- but thank you.
(lol. if you guys dont see me for a while, its because I strangled my mechanic (I joke, but I’m pissed)
If you’re vaccinated what does it matter? Sounds like the mechanic is just inconsiderate.
All other illnesses are mute since the Wuhan came to town.
Flu is a slight maybe; cold is a “What’s that?”; Pneumonia? Never heard of it. Oh and, one of the symptoms? You don’t even realize it.
Besides the ones I see on TV, I do know a girl who just tested positive, and she was vaccinated.
It’s not unheard of.
Yes. The fact that people arent really getting (the normal version of) “sick” is what makes me nervous.
My brother in law and sister-in-law both were vaccinated an got it. My brother in law ended up in the hospital on oxygen. My other sister in law and Brother in law were with them out for lunch and they all got it at the same time. They weren’t vaccinated though
There will be a test on this in the morning .it will be Multiple choice so don’t worry.
The vaccination is not a cure or eradication of the virus, it is to make the symptoms less severe. Yes, some folks still will get severely sick, but that is 1% or less of those affected. 99% or more will have mild to no symptoms. According to the science.
I’d call that an understatement, in the least. @JfromtheD has every right to be ticked off, even if he is vaxxed. What about the fact he could potentially pass it on to others who are more susceptible than he is? And being vaxxed, he is more likely to be an asymptomatic carrier if he does catch it.
After 20 months of dealing with this insanity, you would hope three things would be thoroughly drilled into people’s minds:
- Wash your bleeping hands
- Stay away from people if you feel sick, at all
- Respect personal space and air space for those not in your “bubble”
Hope you’re feeling better J
Tested positive. Sonofa…
Feel better J
Similar situation here almost a year ago. I picked up one of my crew leaders from an auto body shop in my personal vehicle. Just being a nice guy. Wasn’t wearing a mask.
When I got there, the owner of the shop was all up in my driver side window wanting to talk about how we should bring our vans there if needed. Dude was way up in my face and I told him he needed to back up.
2 days later my lead tech tested positive. He got it from his mother, who got it at the restaurant she worked at. We both had to quarantine for 2 weeks, but I didn’t test positive. This was back before the vaccines, so I’m guessing that its because I probably had it at the very end of January 2020, right when it was starting to become a “thing”.
this thing is no joke and definitely not a hoax. as you are vaccinated hopefully you won’t get too serious a case. fingers crossed for you and your family.
As soon as the main stream media in lockstep started in with “we ar ein this together” and then began the draconian bullshit I knew it was all a hoax. I’ll say it…
Vaccine is “safe an effective” but you can still get the virus. This shit is just another power grab scam. Nothing more than influenza labeled something else.
my wife works in a hospital, she sees the results of this virus every day. your comments are gross.
The real conspiracy regarding this virus is the people deliberately spreading divisive and misleading information for their personal or political gain.
Had everyone actually pulled together and followed strict lockdowns, this all would have been over in the first 4 weeks. Or at the worst, we’d do like much of Australia has demonstrated, and handle community cases on a single digit level. The only areas in Australia where they haven’t had that success, are where there’s been a divided stance and call for “freedumb”. Everywhere else, it’s pretty much life as usual for them.
This conspiracy reminds me a lot of the flat-earther movement, except this is a matter of life and death. YouTube is full of “flat-earth proponents” who are way too smart to actually believe what they’re spewing, and have been caught time and again deliberately manipulating or misrepresenting the data. They do it simply so they get more comments and video views from their sheep, as well as their critics.
lol. This doesnt feel like any Flu, I’ve ever had…
I’m so happy I got vaccinated (even thought I still got the ‘Breakthru version.’)
I basically have a diluted sym[ptoms that normal Corona would be, thank goodness.
- I have had NO fever, not in the least, and breathing has been pretty good.
- I had a dry/frequent cough the first couple days, which is now a more normal, but very much reduced.
- I have taste and smell, but foor texture seems a little different, just a bit.
- Headaches are pretty constant, when I focus on something, like tv screens or reading its worse.
- Any aches, arent muscular, meaning sore body. They are more ‘in the bones’
Main symptom is “fatigue.” But thats not the right word, “Beat to shit, extreme tiredness” is how I would describe it.
- I have worked hard in my life, and I’ve also partied for days on end… nothing matches the tiredness I feel, not even close.
