Service CEO

Has anyone who uses Service CEO had any recent issues with its interface to Quickbooks. Where its messed with your recievables from like 2 years ago. i have spoken to some who just use it for the scheduling and job costing aspects. Please share your experiences or opinions.

Service ceo has always had problems with the quickbooks integration and I knew this when we bought it. I only use it for scheduling etc. I use quickbooks for all our money stuff etc. but and I have never even tried to link the 2 programs together. I know that Chris has had crazy problems with several aspects of the program, so he may have some insight to help you out.

I quit using it last year because of that and a good number of other problems. Chris has had even more problems. It seems like the problems grow as you grow. There are a good number of other window cleaning companies that have had multiple problems with this program.

Yes I read the manufacturers instructions and we had no issue for 2yrs untill last month and when we talk to there support people they tell us they are aware of the problem but to un do the 100 plus customers w/ironious balances we are going to have to manually 1 by 1 delete them. Because service ceo can’t write a script to fix it so I’m not to happy with them. I would like to hear what other problems service ceo users are having.

There is another thread on the problems as well if that helps. Just search for it and you should find it. If you can’t let me know.

I use CEO and have not had any problems. I have some other issues with it regarding some things that I think would make it easier to navigate, but no problems with the program or the integration. I have been using it for 3 years and have been using QB integration the whole time as well.

There are a lot of advantages and disadvantageous to this program. Right now it seems we will be with it for at least a couple more years.

Anybody can feel free to give me a ring if you have any specific questions about it.

I have definitely decided to go away from this software. I bought the small business version for $1000 and although I haven’t had any technical problems, the program has a bunch of features I don’t need and very few that I do need.

The invoices don’t print right and SCEO wants $250 additional for a software license to be able to tweak the reports feature so the invoices print right. The program limits me to eight jobs a day, and since I scheduled 8 jobs one day in the past, I have an annoying pop up every time I log on that I am at the limit on that particular day, even though the day is past and the jobs are completed.

Thirdly, I have to keep paying $300 a year to guarantee the security of my data. If I had a crash, I would have to get onto their site to download the latest upgrade after reinstalling the program, since I only own the older version of the software on CD. But, if I don’t have a current membership, no upgrade, and therefore no data. Then the only way to retrieve the data is to repurchase the whole program again.

Beautiful huh?

Hummmm. Kinda sounds like Microsoft?

If you are deciding to go away from CEO What software do you have in mind to switch too?

I don’t know yet. I am looking at Customer Factor or http://www.theserviceprogram.com
