Also “cut-to-fit” is easy. A hacksaw and tape measure is a part of the road gear and it only takes a sec to cut one to size.

I prefer the Slayer channels so it would take a lot of Slayers to make that many cut ups. Plus it would take a lot longer to cut them in the field.
