Hi, I have a window where the glass seem to have been smeared with some sort of chemical that could not be removed by ordinary cleaning liquids such as windex. It seems somebody splash on the window and then whatever was splashed, streaks down, covering a good portion of the glass. When I clean it with windex, it seems to go away, then about a minute or so, the smear/stain (colored whitish) reappears. What do you think it is and how I can I clean/remove it? Any type of stronger chemical liquid to wipe it?:(
Is the smear inside or outside? Is it near a pool, sprinklers or any other type of water source. What is around the window? Is this a IG unit? is it tinted? Is the glass rough where the stain is? If you have a picture that may help out. With out seeing it I can only guess at what it could be and to suggest any other chemicals to clean could do more harm than good. When you say it is white in color I am thinking it could be a hard water stain, possibly varnish or laquir. For me it is hard to say with out seeing it.
