Southwest. Fast evaporation/dust

So much clay dust on windows and water evaporates so fast that they give classes here (Albuquerque)
I dont know where these classes are given, so hoping to get advice here.
By how much does Superslip slow the evaporation process? Anyone in the southwest using it? Does it help you? If not, any other suggestions?
Also, how do u deal w/the clay dust?
Thanx

Super slip does help. I would also try less soap. I do have to tell you though with all of the tinted and low e windows it is sometimes impossible to do a whole window at a time. When it is really hot, windy, and dry you may have to clean the glass in sections or get faster.

A Backflip would help.

A water fed pole would be great for this. Cleans the dust off well, and the water evaporating fast is actually a good thing.

I see this is your first post Winged, welcome to WCR.

Here’s something I would do though withthe tradional method:
I would rinse them with a garden hose, apply soap with a brush, rinse with the hose again and then clean the windows as usual. I’ve done this some on absolutely filthy windows that are tinted. The water would steam right off - but by flushing a good bit of the dirt off with the hose, it cooled the glass some and also made cleaning the windows easier…

In fact, I’d probably do the same if I were using a WFP for super dirty windows. Rinse everything off that you can first.

Excellent advice Micah! I had an atrium for a flooring company that I cleaned monthly and it was always covered in pollen and dust. I hosed it down first and then cleaned the glass. Flawless results every time.

Have you thought of using the Wagtail flipper which keeps the window prevevts the evaporation. Also I believe the new Wagtail combi is going to be released which will also help. Check ou youtube video at [ame=ā€œwillie wagtail beaten by a youngster - YouTubeā€]YouTube Down For Maintenance[/ame]

The backflip works ok if the window isn’t too dirty. If you have a 6x6 window that is evaporating really fast split it into 4 sections. wash one section at a time. also another thing that may help is take a garden hose and turn it on with a slow trickle. run the water over the window to cool it and then wash like normal. A WFP works good too but I have that the people here don’t really like the extra use of water. most get pretty grumpy about it being in a drought and in the desert. Let me know if you need anymore help I can show you some tricks.
