Stack ladders

I hear ya with the cap. I have two friends of mine that are brothers, an own a window cleaning business both have Dodge Ram 1500s, one has a cap, one has cover. To me they both look good , but the one guy doesn’t like the look of a cap also.

They don’t do gutter cleaning though , or power washing so it works for him .

I’m with Mike you have to go with necessity for your business , plus you can letter that baby up which can be a big plus -think of it as an investment.

I know it’s a lot of money, an looks are important to an individual , you will get use to it , an come to like it. I have a love hate with my Van ( Nissan NV 1500) sometimes I look at it, an say what were you thinking . Kind of like that girl you bring home after 3am ( back in the days ). Other times I’m like nice. (Kind of like the girl you bring home before midnight) Either way who cares it’s a work vehicle it’s meant for business not impressing people. I won’t go back to my comparison on that last statement :).

how bout a 3 section extension ladder?

I really like multi ladders. Grew up using them. Heavy? At times but I like to muscle through it. Stack ladders seem really unsafe and wobbly to me but I’ve never really been on one. If you need to go higher then an extension is great. I just use a rack for my truck I can take it off if need be. I store everything inside at night anyway so loading and unloading is just part of my day.

Found this for $50 on Craigslist, only set it on the truck to make sure it fits.

Gotta raise it up a bit to make it fit my tailgate properly and I’m adding a ladder rack to the top this weekend.

I am still thinking of sectionals, may just do 3 or 4 sections to have in the truck for quick window cleaning work when needed.

My next big purchase will be a reach it mini before next season begins though

Mike absolutely you don’t have to buy a whole set to start. . You could get a lot of use out of 3 pieces.
I still can’t believe they stopped making the half piece.

I’ll keep my eyes open for you am Alex Lacey if I know anyone selling a half piece.
Which would be rare but ya never know

You could always make a half piece out of a 6 ft. base section if you’re into modifications. The middle sections won’t work it has to be a base section because they don’t line up with the angles on a four footer. I don’t know if I could work with out my section.

If I had to guess, I’d say 3 pieces is about 90% of my daily day.
Four piece is second, but I like to be higher than lower.
I’m weird like that…

But 3 pieces is pretty much “:standard procedure.”

Have you checked the geometry on that? If that’s the case, it shouldn’t be too much of a project. Get a metal cut off blade for my circular saw, order two replacement yokes and a base section, and I should be good to go

.

.

I was wrong! I took out my stack ladders and took a “closer” look. They are close but they actually won’t line up properly if ya try to cut one down. It would involve more work than I’d be comfortable doing.
