Stain Glass Style

I was wondering if anyone knows what is the best way to clean stain glass style windows where the metal is on the outside of the glass and if you charge more for these types of windows?

Do they want just the glass cleaned or is there oxidizing on the lead that they also want taken care of?

Those look like they are new so they shouldn’t be to dirty, I would wet them with my soaker. You don’t want it to be sopping wet. Then I would wipe them to get up the majority of the water. Then detail them with a dry towel.

In certain cases I have taken the metal out when it was a relatively low time consumption ordeal on normal flat glass. In this instance I buff up with scrim & GG4 wet & then go over with dry scrim.

DI and alcohol in a spray bottle and microfiber or spray foam cleaner.

Foam cleaner with microfibers, if still doesn’t look great, wet steel wool and then repeat with foam & microfiber.

I guess the thing about this type of window is having to detail it, which would take a long time considering all the metal framing holding the glass. If you use the foam spray will it dry clear?

Hey if anyone gets a chance please post a video of cleaning this type of window, I think that would be a great resource for everyone to see.
