I used the Unger Microfiber exclusively for a year and switched to just ninja. The ninja seems to last longer and has way more scrubbing power. Holds a lot of water too. It takes about a day or two to break it in but once it is it seems like the best of all worlds for residential.
Brandon: Is it heavy like an Unger Monsoon?
14 " Sörbo yellow is my favourite⦠all the rest are way to heavy ( unless on a pole, then they are great ). great way to bring on RSI and sap your energy = use heavy tools
the Sorbo lasts ages with its reinforced ends as well⦠and glides over the glass,
Microfiber brake to much on the glass and the glide is not there , glide is really important not just when squeegeeing but also when washing with your Tbar IMO
The monsoon is heavier and holds more water. I only use it for pretty dirty outsides., itās too wet for inside The ninja has more scrubbing power then the monsoon and it holds onto the water better.
Brandon: What about the glide that peterpetersnbg was talking about? Does it glide better than the Unger Micro fiber?
peterpetersnbg: Have you ever used the Unger sleeves? I assume you have. I guess you like the Sorbo better than either Unger, right?
I like the 22" abrasive strip pulex sleeve. It works great for windows that havenāt been cleaned in a while. I wash down a few windows with the soft side then go back and scrubb with the abrasive side.
Hi Mike long time no see speak , hope your doing ok mate ,
I have used pretty much every sleeve going except a few outstanding ones , sorry Mike to answer yes ⦠for me the green ones brake too much ( dont flow over the glass and dont scrub that well ) and the monsoons are good for pole work ( which i rarely do in my residential ) but IMO they are too heavy , too heavy means energy gone and possible RSI and muscle fatigue ⦠for me its all about glide Tai Chi and light tools ā¦
John: So you did say āSƶrbo yellow is my favouriteā, right? I guess I need to give them a try. Your YouTube video is still my favorite so I really do have to take your advice. Thanks for the tip mate.
PS: Have you ever tried the Ninja sleeves? You didnāt mention it in your post.
PS: My favorite window cleaning YouTube video ⦠just in case anybodyās interested. Hey ⦠check out the ladder.
The glide is good but not as good as the microfiber just because of the scrubbing strips that are in there. Thereās a trade off. You wonāt be reaching for a blade or magic eraser as much with the ninja cuz it scrubs more but you wonāt get the effortless glide of the microfiber. Whereas the mircofiber glides well but youāre picking at the window more.
Itās been a while since Iāve tried anything new. Sounds like Iāll have to give the Ninja a try as well.
My Ninja sleeves arrived today.
Enjoy. Might take a job or 2 to get them broken in.
The Unger Ninja does scrub the finger prints off a storefront window faster than the Unger green microfiber for sure. Itās not even broken in and I like it.
My go-to these days is also the Unger Ninja. Iāve found it the best all-around scrubber and it is very durable.
For awhile I was a Microtiger enthusiast, but for me they the ends ripped out way too quickly and the fibers got matted, thus not being able to hold the large amount of liquid as at the start. Maybe that was from too much abuse!
I have one of those āgrassā sleeves and donāt like it at all.
c_wininger told me about the Unger Ninja. Great scrubber! I like it a lot!
Charlie Laurie told me about the Unger monsoon
Both hold a ton of water and have great scrubbing power.
Those are my go to sleeves now!

I use the Unger Ninja and Monsoon sleeves on my 18" mop for route stuff.
Iāve been using the blue Moerman sleeve on my 14" mop and Iām really enjoying the work it does in the last couple weeks Iāve been using it.

I have one too and wasnāt impressed at all.
Iām going back to my Unger Microfiber sleeves because the Ninja is to drippy. My BOAB is collecting way to much water for my liking and Iām dripping water on floors.
