The Next Generation of Squeegees from RHG?

I have been working with a new set of hand tools that I find to be extremely user friendly.

I have also put these tools in the hands of a number of veteran window cleaners and the reports back about the design and rubber have all been favorable.

More research and field trials are yet to be carried out, but I believe this product to be a winner and add value to the window cleaning industry.

I will be working out any design changes in the near future and may very well be launching this new product line in the months to come. And of course these will be available here at WCR if everything pans out.

I’m not only the President, I’m also a client.

Hmmmmm…sounds interesting!

Very!

I’m sure they’ll rock. Best wishes, Shawn.

Shawn, knowing you I’m sure that your new hand tools will be top notch. Anything that sets them apart from existing tools? Will you have your own line of rubber? That would be great!

count me in

I can’t wait to see the line. If you need to do some winter testing I’m in!:D;)

Proprietary rubber sucks big time, hope it works within the standards.

Keep us posted Shawn

We will have our own rubber.

I have found it to be very hard wearing and it is not proprietery.

It will fit other chanels and other rubbers will fit these chanels.

That’s great news! Lookin’ forward to it!

That is good. We need another source of rubber. 2 is not enough; Ettore and Pulex. I tested for Unger and it didn’t work. I hope you can do better. Good luck.

Sounds great Shawn - can’t wait

Hey Shawn, I was thinking of giving the wagtail squeegee handle a try, because of the resent threads on their unique handle. I guess I should hold off for awhile, right?

The wagtail tools are VERY unique.

We have done nothing like it.

OK Shawn,
I use a zero degree handle by Unger and regular Ettore handles on my storefront accounts. The Ettore Contour handle would double as both. Should I get one or hold off for awhile.

Please explain.

Unger sent some of their rubber to me for testing. They did it with many people. The rubber they sent to me failed in a short time and was just no good.

I read a recent email that said they may be testing the rubber again. It needed improvement. They need to retest it.

Failed in what way?

Please explain what you mean be “just no good.”

What improvement is needed?

It was a while ago. Some of the rubber had nicks in it from the start. Some of the rubber worked for a short time and got nicks in it. It did not wear smoothly over time. They have probably changed it by now and should do the testing over again so it becomes known.

The problem with testing is that if those doing the testing do not like the rubber, that becomes known to them and the word gets out. They need to get a positive report on it.

So was the rubber that was sent to you the same as what is currently being sold or was it a test batch for possible later release?

My findings with Unger (soft) rubber was that it works as good out of the box as any other brand but that the corners wear out a bit quicker, especially if you do a lot of fanning with it.
