I treat all glass as if it’s tempered glass. If I have to use a razor, I use a waiver.
Heat strengthend glass can have fabrication debris on it as well, and heat strenghtend glass is not required to have a stamp. So it can be very difficult to determine whats what. If you use a waiver everytime you use a razor, you’ll have your bases covered.
( I don’t mean I get a waiver if I’m removing a single peice of tape from a door… although that may not be a bad idea… )
Send me an e-mail and I can send you my waiver. Get it signed before you do any work and if you are taken to court you’ll have your bases covered. As I’ve said before Dan Fields has never lost a case when the waiver was in place.
Make sure you educate the customer regarding fabricating debris so that they know what they are signing (in the past, some have suggested hiding the verbage in their estimate sheet via small print.)
