This thread is strange to me That all seem to not enjoy working. I get great pleasure out of the work I feel like it poetry in motion and I like being really skilled at the trade. I like turning these gigundo houses into nothing in a short amount of time, I like seeing the beauty of the result. It’s like being a musician. You bring joy into people’s lives and ease the pain of living
People need and will pay for entertainment. If your not working. It’s cause your not entertaining
I know a lot of musicians who have a resentment because they don’t make money. The reason is because they stink. If your really great you communicate joy to people just from walking on stage
I feel a certain quiet joy when I work and don’t resent it at all. I also really like my customers. I halve worked for some since 1979. I’m really getting up there man. 60. Next Tuesday
I love working. The sun and birds and good air. Makes my body feel good

we all feel that way at some point in our careers…15 years for me…winter gives me a little break with just commercial work, but by spring, im ready to be back full time. i mean, people actually PAY me to clean their windows…and pay me really well. Wouldnt go back to working for someone else…hang in there!

They always walk up to me on the route but there always like its a good copy it’s a good copy I’m like ya right everything is good . The guy I use to get them from would always tell me this is good this is bad don’t buy this one.

This past year I worked a TON. Working 6 days a week for 8 months - 29 of 31 days in August. By October, I had a contracter look at my face and said, “You really don’t enjoy what do you.” He was an honest and introspective painter - 60 years old and working for himself. It gets to the point where you feel you have no control over your business any more. You’re working crazy hours and not able to take care of your equipment/clients/business/systems/wife/self for months at a time.
Time off and setting limits/boundaries is the key to being in control. Also, get a hobby.
