Hi all, we have done several glass sealing projects the past couple of months, and one of them isn’t giving us good reports.
We used invisible shield for all of the projects, but one in particular is complaining because the water spots are reappearing very soon, even within the week. We went back to clean it, and the sealer seems to work because the water spots came off with ease, but they were unusually white. Is this the water reacting with the sealer?
Did we not buff the invisible shield product in well enough, or is it the type of glass?
We told the customer that this was more for experimental use because we just started the glass sealing service, but it will be a disappointment if they complain that it makes the glass worse.
I’m going back out there again next week (only one week after the last clean) to try to remove it. Any suggestions of what to use to remove the invisible shield? Safe Restore?..
Why use invisible shield??? That’s to much work. I’d invest in***** barrer or Ettore sells a product. invisible shield to much labor. I think Chris sells Glass Guardian. It last for 3 years. 3 star 1 year life or 8 months
Actually Ettore Glass Guardian claims to last 2 years. That may be so on glass that water never hits but Ettore’s Glass Guardian doesn’t even last a year on shower enclosures. Glass Guardian is way overpriced and doesn’t even do what it claims to do.
I may try 3 Star Barrier since it’s cheaper and I think it even has a shelf life whereas Ettore’s Glass Guardian only last 2 or 3 days once opened and activated.
If you’re doing shower enclosures don’t waste your money on Ettore Glass Guardian!!! It simply does not work!
-Do the application process in a steamy bathroom.
-When squeegying, do it pretty forcefully to remove every bubble and bit of solution.
-Use the solution included.
-When doing the screen part, there is no such thing as too much solution, as long as you squeegy as much of it out from underneath after you have it in place.
-When it comes to the back, there is such thing as too much solution. I used three squirts of solution, then rubbed it around onto all the corners.
-Make sure your hands are EXTREMELY washed.
