I just started this business, but i can not seem to get my accounts to go for the weekly cleaning. Is there a way to kind of work them into the weekly cleaning
I’ve had weekly accounts. I find customers will generally go for them when they are in a downtown area, or are close to the road, or are close to the sidwalk and many pedestrians walk by. They may also be use to weekly cleans because they might have had a lot of shady characters not charge very much and clean their windows every week, so they got use to the schedule.
When I use to work downtown, I use to suggest at the start a weekly schedule. And at that point the customer would say what their preference was. I don’t think you can say alot to convince them if they want a less frequent schedule.
Now I do a lot more suburban work, the windows get less dirty, so I always sell them on every two weeks. Which most accept. A few ask for once every 4 weeks.
So you can try to convince them a bit, but I dont’ think you can change their mind easily.
Restaurants are good for weekly cleanings. All that cooking, food can get slopped onto the glass, and the bar areas have smokers. Another frequent user of our service is Hair Stylist salons. All of that spraying and perms dirties up the glass.
Why would you want them too? When it comes to store front all that is going to happen is your time will be taken up. You are going to limit yourself in the end and have a hard time growing if you want to grow? IE if you can only clean 10 stores per day 6 days per week, what happens when store #61, then #62, etc calls and wants your service?
Why wouldn’t someone starting out want to increase their revenue? If all corey’s monthly accounts, for example, went to a weekly schedule, there would be a four-fold increase. Sounds good to me.
How does adding new accounts to fill schedule voids be any different?
Any growth requires careful planning.
