I am trying to update my website and I’d like anyone to go to and take a look around. Please get back to me with your comments, good or bad, and other contructive critisms. I do the web site myself, but I am not certain that I am 100% happy with the way it is presented to the customer. Please let me know how you feel.

I use Google Chrome as my browser most of the time and some of the pics were blocking important text in my browser. Also, it took a bit of time to load.
However, it looked solid aside from the tech issues!
I’d make sure that your site works in multiple browsers. I use firefox, and I had the same problem as Joe, pictures where they weren’t supposed to be. Behind IE firefox is the most used browser, so I’d definitely make sure that it worked there. If I’m anywhere near normal (which is a big question:D) then others aren’t going to bother opening another browser just to view your site.
And what’s the resolution on the pics. The usually don’t need to be any more than 72 dpi. They were taking a while to load.
I like the copy on your site. It seems benefit focused. I didn’t read everything, but what I did look through seemed to be focused on the customer.
Also, I like the background. The simple lines are great. Gives me an idea for my site

I used mac safari browser and it was extremely slow in loading.

hey Bert, first of all I will point only the bads and I will be focusing on the homepage (index.html)
I’d get rid of the music background, cheesy song, used and abused, and it takes time to load.
You HAVE to resize those images, as mentioned, that is precious loading time. If you are interested in showcasing your pictures is best to setup an separate gallery page.
Using Firefox your page shows completely disorganized, graphics in places where they’re not supposed to be, and with IE is not that messy, but it doesn’t show perfectly either.
I’m not an expert, way far from that, but if you need something and feel like I can help you, just PM and I’ll do my best.

Keep working on it, it takes time. I’ve been working on my site for months and I’m still stucked with the old crappy site. I really fail to “keep it simple”, don’t make that same mistake.
Something like this, elegant and simple. If you wanna use it go ahead, or if you want to modify something let me know and I’d be glad to do it.
Tell me about it. Bert your site looks good. It did take a while to load. I use Firefox browser. I don’t know if that had anything to do with it or not.
I would agree, your pictures take to long to load they need to be 72 dpi or less. You can optimize your photos for the web in Photoshop and if you don’t have Photoshop then download GIMP, it is a freeware program much like Photoshop and you should be able to do the same thing with GIMP.
Also I think you should go with a solid color background, not multiple colors, it screams web page template! I also think you should have less photos on your index page. A gallery is a good Idea like already mentioned.
You look like you are a pretty decent size operation, if you can’t get it to work right, you should consider having it done professionally by a kid in college. College kids in graphic/web design will work for cheap, they are itching to land any job before they graduate to show off their skills.
