Hey I just ordered a couple of fan jets for my vikin brush, and I will get them tommorrow. But how do you change them out from the pencil jets? If anybody can help me out let me know or guide me to the right direction. thanks.
The way that those particular jets are installed in that vikan is by drilling a 5/16th inch hole, then inserting the short piece of hose that has the jet in it and hammering the jet flush with the plastic side of the brush.
To replace the pencil jets with fans, you will want to do the following.
Take a punch and knock the jets out the back of the brush from the bristle side. Then insert the fan jets(with a short length of tubing on them) through the bristle side out the back. When you meet resistance, hammer the jet until you have it flush with the plastic stock of the brush. Be sure the fan jet is positioned so that the slit in the jet is running horizontal or the jets will not spray correctly.

Some guys have 2 fan and 2 pencil jets on the same brush. You just move the water supply hose from one Y connect to the other and you’re good to go.
Yeah I’ve seen where they just add the fan jets to the brush and use either or, but I used the pencil jets on the last job and was not really impressed with them. I want to try the fan jets and then I can see what I think works best for me.
I just didn’t know how to take them off and install the fan jets. But thanks for all the help.
