Got it! Sorry if I missunderstood. The pads are to remove the dirt build up on the glass. On a first time clean I generally wet the window, scrub with a pad, and razor if needed. If I didn’t razor then sqeegee after scrub pad. If your razor then 3rd wet and squeegee. The whit scrub pads don’t have quite enough bite to them and often leave behind a faint dirt residue that can be seen at an angle in the sun.
