I was just on another site that resembles WCR but its for pressure washing. They have a lot of knowledge but they are very stingy with it! They are not willing to help new-comers much. From what I have read so far you have to put in alot of time on the site to get ANY information at all. I remember the first day I came to WCR I had a question and it got answered with a very helpful and detailed answer in no time. Just wanted to express my graitude! WCR is awesome. 
Iāve been to those sites as well. They have a very low tolerance for newbies. I understand some donāt want to answer the same question from several dozen new guys but to be rude is certainly not the answer.
Iāve always appreciated how Larry (and others) will post a redirect to a post that answers that question. We have a great community going here! Well done WCR!
On the other forums defenseā¦members may get tired of answering the same ānewbieā questions day after day. Yeah some guys seem to be rude about answering but some will politely redirect the newbie to the search button. Members know that they will it. I believe theyāre encouraging newbies to independently find the question they are looking for.
There a lot of repetitive question on WRC just as well. I personally choose not to answer most of them. I think a someone new to the industry should do some searching/homework before asking questions. It shows that they are making an attempt to learn.
How many time can we suggest one soap over the other or which is the best towel to use or which is the best squeegee. I will say nicely "Hey there, nice to meet you āBucket Bobā Great question. Check out Search Button youāll find the answers your looking for.
I have been to those other forums as well, and even after much searching and digging, people still donāt fully answer the question(s). Thing I love about WCR is, from day one I had people like Tony offering their time, knowledge and wisdom. Stan from Pro Kleen has given me his number several times, and even though Iāve never called anyoneā¦it is comforting to know that there are great people just a phone call away.
Understandably so - there are always going to be the repetitive questions, and even though the search feature is a great tool, it doesnāt always point me in the right direction.
Nonetheless - I have said it before and will confidently say it againā¦WCR and the people on this forum are absolutley awesome! Thank youā¦
I was on a forum before about sign making (because I used to have a vinyl cutter and made some signs for store front customers) and some of their members were rude only because I wasnāt an actual sign making business. I told them what I did and I guess they felt I was taking business away from them. People that were not even close to where I lived. I was even kicked off that forum for trying to sell some cdās with graphics to another sign maker, just trying to help him out. Some nerve. WCR is pretty cool and nobody seems to get hot headed.
I agree with everything you have said. It just seem to me that they were a little rude when they did not need to be. If someone ask me where to buy some great window cleaning products I would not send them to Lowes so why do some of them guys tell a new guy to go to the dollar store to get bleach that is 6% when they know that getting 12% is what he really needs. Im not saying that the other site isnt helpfull cause it is. It just shocked me when I read that.

But this place is far better than most sites out there. the traffic and plus the guys running the show here understand how to stay with the times.

Just donāt understand why if I have - it hadnāt been communicated to me. This is the part I donāt understand & lack of response angers me. So if you are reading this Gary Mauer - Iām not the only one - others in the UK are equally bewildered.
It works at Masters as well ā I know VERY well first hand.
