I always use the disposable booties for interior work. They’re so cheap and I believe they do make an impression on customers. Besides the safety issue of walking around with socks, I also agree that it doesn’t look professional. You are a worker in their home not their guest.
One word of caution though, even though disposables go over your work shoes, you can still slip if you’re not careful. Last year I was walking down some freshly polished hardwood stairs while carrying my bucket and I slipped and landed on my ass resulting in a bruise the size of Rhode Island on my tush. Luckily I didn’t spill too much water and no damage was done to the customers home.
Thanks for another excellent video. I carry a pair of disposable booties in my pocket every day all day even if the growned is dry. The customer likes to see the booties. I never make an exception because a customer was angry once when I didn’t have them on, because I thought there was no need. It shows them that I care. It’s an image thing now.

"Slip-ons"
I dont use booties myself, yes I agree it does look professional. But, I have a pair of white soled sneekers that I wear for inside work only. I’ve noticed certain bands of the blue slip ons have a slip hazard as well. I think they make a pair that have a non slip traction on them.

Good point you brought up. I personally use a big blue bath towel. Why blue you say? Darker colors hide dirt and discoloration better than lighter colors. I also use this towel all through the house under my bucket. My bucket goes with me throughout the house.
Might I mention, rubber slip ons for outside work are awesome for muddy or snowy conditions work. They go right over your work boot. Some are buckled some not.
SCRIM!!! good for all things, hahaha!
Good video.
the video does not work…
I think the customers love booties - they do have a tendency to make your feet more slippy. I’ll be getting the winsol durable ones once I’ve used all the disposables up.
