Coldest weather in over 115 years here where I live more snow than ever in history an its been sitting on the roads for 3 days and hasnt melted because the day time highs are in the 20s. record cold weather here.
115 years!
We are at the tail end (we hope) of the coldest stretch of weather in 15 years. Has been tons of fun.
Naturally the 15-20 gutter jobs we are frozen out of everyone thinks they should be first once they unfreeze.
I like to call that the “ME First” Syndrome.
I would safely guess that 15% of our calls expect us to get to them within 48 hours. Basically only 3 months of the year where that is impossible.
Had 3 calls for windows this morning, both upset we could not complete by Wednesday of this week. One of the jobs I drove by as it was close and it was a full day gig for 3 guys and the owners are moving out of state…
If we were in the war room I’d say my weather f**kin sucks!
I gotta be honest…
I’m loving the weather you ‘southerners’ are getting.
I hope it keeps up for 3 months…

You cold weather climate guys will love this one. Customer calls this morning asking if we are still coming out to clean windows because it is so cold. It’s 40 degrees out. That’s not cold I said, I know window cleaners who work at 15-20 below.
Cleaning gutters while it was snowing… and it’s my birthday. As long as the gunk isn’t frozen, I’m happy. It’s the cold sunny days that are the prettiest but the worst for gutter cleaning. Usually when it’s snowing here, it’s warmer.
