Website Automated Bidding ?'s

For in & out, yeah.

Actually, a bit higher, as per the “new” website that was active when I sold it, as shown below:

A bit more than $300 minimum.

My new company will start around $600 for a small home, inside & out.

What’s an index card?

Curt Kempton is working on perfecting and totally simplifying this process… window cleaners can finally access that sophisticated technology at an affordable price… Im anxious for mid-December when I might get to finally have access to it… Its really slick people are going to love it.

Are you saying he is going to share the blueprints to that page, for a price?

It will be available for sale, yeah. But knowing Curt, he’s gonna stand behind it 100%.

I bought a form maker from Machform. Choose license to purchase | Machform - PHP HTML Form Builder I bought the standard at $40.00. Was and is easy to use. One thing I did not like was that it does not calculate out the prices for the customer. But it does send me an email and save everything in a nice database. When they submit the form it let’s them know I will get back to them with a price in within 24 hours. All that communication is done via email. I do not call them. When I first started using the system I found most people having an upset tone when I called. So again when someone submits online, they are contacted via email with their price and it’s disclaimer. The system was very easy to set up and nice thing is the person is forced to provide me with an email address. If it’s an fake one, well then no estimate for them. But if it’s real it allows me to market later on.
Also I have found that most people who are serious will call after they get the quote and they book. The price shopers never call back, which is fine with me cause they are a waste of your time anyway.

BTW the nice thing about this product is 1, it’s cheap and works. 2 it can be embeded into your site 3. other forms can be made easy. i also use this for my job applicants.

Yep exactly!

You know who has a good form that calculates prices is Beautiful View in Toronto.

Anyone know what this would be called?

I really like this one, it’s more of what I had in mind, I’d have a few changes in descriptions, but I think it would be very similar.

Here’s the one I had for a while. I had it with more options as far as windows goes, but I thought it was too confusing so I simplified it.

Wow, guys… that was a timely thread.

Many of you may know of my passion for having a website built as more than an “online pamphlet”… something with some horsepower. As a business owner, you are responsible for many things, and I’m all for having my website taking as much off of my plate as possible… definitely working 24/7 and keeping me from burning my truck up with driving all around town.

I have been like a kid in a candy store the last few months having my current website driving anyone who visits to this page:

The reason it’s so powerful is that it gives the customer exactly WHAT they want, WHEN they want it! Please understand that the above version is the best I could do with a few thousand dollars and my initial thoughts. Since then, I’ve met with some amazing developers and raised a bunch of capital…

It has been such an amazingly powerful tool (and it’s only half as powerful as it could be), and it has made me (and saved me) so much money that I am working on a super-secret tool that will benefit anyone with a website as Chris alluded to. I can’t say much at the moment other than it’s taking up a huge amount of my time and money, but I know it’s going to make window cleaning business owners lives a TON easier and turn your website into a hardworking employee.

From my personal experience, I have looked for something that was out there that you could just plug into your site and go, but everything as of today has to be a custom solution which is expensive-- even though my custom solution has made me considerably more profitable, I know you’ll love my official announcement in the coming weeks!

Yeah that’s really nifty 5 star… did I just say nifty? But I couldn’t fool around with it because it requires all information fields be filled in.

Here is the one I did for my house washing… Lexington, KY Pressure Washing and Roof Cleaning Company Service First Choice Power Washing LLC

I did this one for a friend here… we never made it active or with real $$$ data because we scrapped the idea. Still considering it. Lexington KY Window Cleaning Company

It really isn’t as hard to code as one would think.

Sorry double post somehow.

Can’t answer for Kevin, but we ask folks very broad/vague questions over the phone to determine price. The reason it works is because we are HIGH priced. If a customer tells me it is a 2 story home under 2500 sqft, I say “We get $347 for that size home? When can we put you on the schedule?” We get the job and when we get there, find it is sitting on a walkout basement which is really 3 stories, not a big deal because we were priced for worst case scenario anyhow. So instead of grossing $350/hr, we might end up at $275/hr. Having enough margin built in is the key to being able to do the “one price fits most” angle. But if your pricing is so tight that there isn’t much room for mistakes or breakdowns etc., it doesn’t work.

Thanks for the kind word, Mike… even if it is a very retro choice!

For anyone who has had the pleasure of automating the bidding process, would you care to share the pros vs. cons of requiring the prospect to enter in some general information? Mike brings up a great point here…

How many window cleaners are in your market, Michael… if you don’t mind my asking. Is it really competitive? Do you often bid against competition?

Perhaps, but Mike the Window Cleaner has been vocal (I’m being kind here) about his disdain for entering personal information on the Interweb.

I can understand that, for sure. But what if you were seriously interested in getting a quote to have your home’s windows cleaned, Mike?

I don’t do windows. I did that site for my friend. He decided not to run with the automated proccess at the time. We are revisiting it now.

I personally like the idea of streamlining the proccess to a point of only getting an email and then putting a job on schedule.
