Website change...including web address. Let me know what your thoughts are

OK, to make a long miserable story short, my web address I have had for 8 years is gone. Yes, I said gone! I finally have stopped throwing up over it and have moved forward with a new web address. Hopefully it will allow me to better reach my target base.

I am still working on it, but let me know what your feelings are on it thus far, thanks.

Wow. Miserable for real!

How’s it “gone”???

To make a long story short, I would pay a few years at a time in advance for the address. Well I forgot to update my email to my Google email. So when the notice was send for renewal… I didn’t get it. So after a month of not realizing my contract was up… website gone and someone in Japan has my 8 yr old address.

Bummer for real man.

Not to make light of your story but it could have been worse…one of your local competitors could have snatched it from under you. I know that would make me see red!

Good point! Your right, that would have been really bad. Thanks.

So, any comments on the revamp site?

Sorry about losing the site… that sucks.

I’d work on those headers; “Home,” “Photo Gallery,” “Contact us,” etc… do nothing for you.

On a personal note, I’d like to see some of you WFP guys do some (action) shots looking down from above rather than always from the ground up.

DomainProcessor.com - Domain Name Registration Service

if your still under the wire. maybe this will help.

BTW why change the whole layout? the domain name just points to the local where all your sites files are. should be no need to change the whole site. Sorry to hear about the loss.
Interesting thing you have brought up. Yesterday I bought a name for me and my wifes photos. I noticed that the registar I use had an old email address meaning I could have lost my domains. I changed the email for all my domains. My registar now has the option to register for 5 years.
