This job calls for pressure washing the vinyl siding, basically a house wash. I was wondering what you would bid it for.
$150 maybe. I dunno. How many square feet?
Hard to tell exactly how big it is. $250-$325
Pretty old!!
I didn’t know they made vinyl siding that long ago.
I’m way across the pond in Ireland,… but I’d be charging €475 for that,… about $670.
I reckon a full days work and €125 spent on SH & petrol for the pressure washer.
$625 less than 3 hrs work.More than likely closer to 2 hrs.
I bid my house washes on square footage. For the price I gave above, I figured around 1800 feet. One story . . . I figure it wouldn’t take more than an hour or so.
Rob I don’t do sq ft anymore.I know what I want from a job when I drive up, this being a church I might offer a discount.
I have found that the $150 building wash people turn into nightmare customers.I will do track homes under 1100 sq ft for $150,but there has to be a minimum of 5 on a street for me to hook to my rig.
I would be in the $800 range
Do you not do quotes over the phone?
This is a project in need of more than just the siding cleaned.
Algae on roof
Gutters need cleaned out
siding obviously
WINDOwS will have to be done afterwards. Those are an inside t/o storm window. Also looks like pretty fragile stained glass pieces (restoration comes to mind for this project.)
I have a feeling the owner just asked to have the siding cleaned. Make sure to propose the other services. As far as pricing…I wouldn’t dare throwing any numbers out there until making sure theres no shotgun fungus on the siding (last pic on right?) and the windows are removable.
I have everything covered that you said. Gutters windows ECT. I was just asking about the siding. The gutters are going to be cleaned inside and out the windows are a giving. I’m also doing sidewalks and porch. I have some high dusting and cleaning on the inside too. Now back to my question. How much would you bid on the VINYLE SIDING. Im not trying to be a smart ass but I have seen people on here instead of anwsering someones question pick apart the question kinda like what you just did. Thank you very much for your opinion though. Hey sense your so helpful do you mind telling me where I can find out more about “shotgun fungus” and different method of removing it.
The ppl saying they’d do it in 1, 2 or 3 hours,… how would you do it?
I’d use an x-jet & SH to wash the whole building, which with setting up time, wetting the surrounding greenery and rinsing the greenery after application would prob take me 3 hours. I’d expect then to have to go over a few areas (Under window ledges etc) and scrub with my wfp & a detergent , prob another hour.
Then the windows,… another 2 hours.
I don’t do much of this work,… but am I really that slow? I always get 100% results & am quite fussy about the details tho.

Pretty informative link here, theres all sorts of info available on it but no really good way of getting rid of it…lol. Here in Oregon its quite abundant and common. If you can spot it before you start and educate your customer where its coming from and how to prevent it by clearing the old bark dust and mulch or replacing it with decorative gravel or something. They will appreciate it and understand if you leave some behind.
Some of the specs will come off fairly easy but some will be almost impossible.
I apologize about asking a question with a question…BUT!!! so many variables with everything we do.
Im trying not again to answer a question with a question but…are you going to pressure wash it, do it by hand, down stream, spray & forget, soft wash, or Using any chemicals??
Each method is unique and can be priced differently by the equipment being used, method, condition of the siding etc, etc…
Does anything need to be done with the tower/steeple on the roof. I would have to calculate in deploying safety equipment ie. fall restraints, scaffolding, boom.
Every one here is providing quotes across the board with all different methods & ideas in mind so take everyones into consideration when submitting your final bid.
I hope to have helped not be a nuisance!!!
Rarely.
I will if it’s a house in town.We live in a small town I know most neighborhoods and their home sizes.
My service area is fairly large so I set a date to do estimates when I’m in their area.
Since it’s a church I would do vinyl only $575.All I do is power washing, roof cleaning and windows for my commerical customers(fast food restaurants). There is no easy way to remove artillery fungus, scrubbing by hand is the only way I know of and due to the time and effort involved most customers will pass instead of paying what the work demands.
Njones,
We stopped using our xjet as a mainstay several years ago.We down stream on 98% of jobs now and have learned to do highly detailed work at a fast pace.
