I only use WFP. Also 90% of my jobs are french panes. If you don’t have to scrape, it doesn’t much matter how many years have gone by. I’ve done plenty of homes that have gone 10 years and they turn out really nice. Just gotta give it a good scrub.
Without scraping I’d be at about $850.

I’ve used 3" wide painter’s tape on occasion to assist with diverting water flow.

Maybe your doors are different over there but doors are great if they open out because then i WFP both sides :D. Most our French windows are aluminium so less worries about leaching paint. If windows are really dirty I go over them enough to wet them and move on as a few windows. I come back when they have softened up. works better in the shade.
