Got my new safety signs yesterday. What’s funny to me is the little guy pictured on the safety sign is violating an OSHA rule. Do you know what it is?

Just made me laugh that a guy on a safety sign would be violating a safety rule.
The answer is obvious. He is doing mind altering drugs on the worksite. This is made apparant by his risky ladder behavior and the fact that there is no window where he is washing.

Serious question:

On another note, a recently did a bid where it was specified by the client that there must be a man/woman holding the ladder at the bottom at all times. First time I’ve come across this.
Interesting question Mark. The reg says points of “contact”. I have been on larger construction sites and when OSHA showed up they never took issue w/ guys on ladders (step or extension) that were hammering nails or driving screws (they had to use both hands for this). They did however go around and chop up every extension cord w/ a nick in it or any end that wasn’t factory installed.:eek:
