Which pure water system?

Hey guys, my first post here.

I’m sort of new to the window cleaning business. So far all the window cleaning I’ve done are for my janitorial contracts, some homes, and a ski resort in my area (highest windows at 45’).
I would like to do less janitorial and more windows, residential and low-rise commercial. I’m looking to buy my first pure water system, there are lots of traditional window cleaners in my area but I have yet to see anyone within an hour of here with a WFP. I need something portable, so no van units. I would like a system with RO as I have a large service area in small town Quebec, I will encounter higher TDS than feasible with just a DI system.

So I’m looking at the Wash-It Pro or IPC Eagle Hydrotube, both fit the bill. Which would you guys recommend?

I do love the light weight of the Hydrotube, but the filter availability and filtering options of the Wash-It. It’s a hard choice, especially with the sale happening now on the Wash-It! I’m sure quality of both is high since they are both IPC made.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

You should be contacted by the sales rep and they can go over all your options.

Give Alex a call. He knows the ins and outs of both.

I personally think the wash it pro looks like a better product

Mon frère de la même mère!

The wash-it pro looks good to me. I like their RO plus DI system.

Hi there …

I think the deciding factor should be how much you intend to use Pure Water and your Water Fed Pole. With ‘Built to Last’ in mind, think today, and 5 years time.

The IPC Hydrotube is better suited to you if you are thinking irregular work. Any system with proprietary filters is better suited for semi-industrial use. Take a janitorial application - the frequency of filter change is low, and the Operator is not going to want to refill canisters etc. He is happy for his boss to buy insert modules and he simply changes them out once or twice a year.

Take that same system to full-time industrial action and you are very quickly going to pay the difference between Hydrotube and Wash-iT PRO in your refill filters. This is the principle of Price vs Cost. Hydrotube is a lower price, higher cost unit. Wash-iT is a higher price, lower cost unit.

We have designed Wash-iT PRO for international sales - you can buy all the replacement filters and media locally without paying a premium for brand. This will suit you with the Carbon and DI filters.

Again - for industrial use, you want a serviceable unit - and Wash-iT PRO is designed with DRAIN, AUTO-FLUSH, and DI FLUSH. This means, especially in hard water areas that scaling is going to be minimised.

If you are cleaning to 45ft, it is unlikely that you will be able to do that direct from an RO (any RO) without a pump. If cleaning to 45ft is not a high percentage of your work, switching to DI ONLY for the 4th floor is a simple and cost effective solution. For an idea of running cost during DI operation, simply divide your TDS by 100 ( TDS÷100 = $running cost of DI ONLY per hour). This is cheaper, faster, more convenient than lugging a pump and battery around all the time just for those few jobs. Of course, you can add a pump in front of Hydrotube and Wash-iT PRO.

Right now, if you are quick, I see that Wash-iT PRO is 10% and free delivery in USA! - I would call Alex and cut a deal!

By the way, Wash-iT PRO is only 30KG …

We are in the process of developing a number of add-on modules for Wash-iT PRO - they are all Work-in-Progress - but you have not seen the full kit yet. One day, you will have a detachable hose reel, an upright mount bar for fixing in your vehicle, a Pump Module, and of course, a Reach-iT pole holder …

That said, again, if you are not planning to be such a regular user, the Hydrotube will suit you really well.

I own a hydrotube and 2 was now. The wa is more awesimer thqn the hydrotube, any way you brwak it down.

Thanks a lot for the insight guys! I would like to use the system regularly, as much as possible, and filter replacement for the Wash-it would be much cheaper in the long run. The only downside is I’d have to pay around $255 in taxes when importing it into Canada, but I could buy a Hydrotube in Canada. But, you get what you pay for.

I will talk with Alex about the challenges you have there - but there are $250 savings running right now at WCR … so does that balance it out ?

I don’t think WCR can do free shipping outside the USA. Even though Canada is closer than 35 other states.

We would be able to shave a little bit more than 10% off for you on a Wash-iT of your interested . Just because you couldn’t receive the free shipping going on now… We are flexible just let us know…

Personally I would go Wash it pro. Its a simple no nonsense workhorse. Mine has already paid for itself in time saved and maintenance costs and Ive only had it a few weeks! Not only that but you have its developer as a member right here on this forum providing hands on backup.

I dig the wash it pro. It rocks!

Hey guys thanks a lot for all the help. I’ve put in my order for the Wash-it Pro, really can’t wait to use it. Thanks Alex, Perry, and Kate for all the help shipping to Canada!

So I just got the Wash-it Pro yesterday, put it together, and gave it a test. My tap water is 122ppm. With prefilter and RO only, I got 9ppm right off the bat. With all filters, 0ppm right off too, and it seems like good pressure. I’m very excited to start using this kit!

Excellent! Enjoy it.

You’re gonna love pure water window cleaning. You’re in business! Happy for you! Felicitations!

Great News !
