Will this pad scratch glass?

I realize that I can test in an insonspicious place to test for scratching, but I’d like to know if any of you have experience with this pad. This would also be a waste of my time to test every window.

I use one frequently. Have yet to notice any scratch marks on glass, regardless of being tempered or not. Just check to make sure there isn’t any sort of tint/film on the surface. It will scratch that. :grimacing:

@Samuel I assume glassware includes windows? Would you honestly use it?

Question. Why not just use steel wool?

Glassware is not same as windows

Sorry what I meant to imply was that nowhere on that chart does it say “windows”.

White Scotch Brite pads are safe for windows.
You can also use #0000 steel/bronze wool.

White scrub pad
If you need it today they can be purchased at most janitorial supply stores.

I’ve got some storefront accounts that fell victim to an overzealous uninformed worker on a mission to remove an ugly spot with a green scrub pad. The spot is long gone but the ugly scratches remain! LOL

I say nothing

Yeah forget "See something? Say something."
Sometimes it’s best to say nothing and don’t rock the boat.

I did find a blue pad for sale on a window cleaners supply house web site.

Description included this comment.

“For general duty scrubbing. Not recommend for glass!”

I used to use it all the time and on all different types of glass with no issues. Now my microtiger does the trick, unless there’s a really stubborn spot then I’ll whip it back out.

i wouldnt use it!!! it can scratch.

#0000 steel wool is my go to and super cheap
