I love freedom more than guns. It’s necessary. Just ask UK about a bunch of yokels running around in Massachusetts how effective armed citizens can be to ensure their own freedom.

We’ll have to see if they stick to their guns over Brexit or not. Oh damn…

Afraid? Of what?
The things I’m afraid of a gun won’t help in the slightest with.

If I could shoot leukemia, or any number of diseases that terminally effect humans I’d whack em in a heartbeat.

It’s not about being afraid. It’s only another tool just like another hammer in your tool chest.

Do you keep a bug out bag? (Thats a duffel bag with the essentials in case of natural disaster, meds, clothing, water and food etc.)

Are you afraid because you have one? I don’t think so. You are doing what a man must do to protect his family in case of emergency my friend. Whats the difference between a firearm and a crossbow? Or that and a nail gun? All 3 of those tools can kill if that was the intention. The difference is the person operating the machinery, right?

I can understand your point of view, I just choose to be prepared in case of emergency for my family. It doesn’t make me any better than you, but you can always come over if you need help should the need arise. We usually got room for a couple more people.

The question of “what are you afraid of” always got me.
I’m not afraid because I have a fire extinguisher, but I’m prepared in case of emergency.

It’s kind of strange that this subject is so touchy with people. It’s kind of hard to understand why people are so dead set against it.
My wife is like that too. I have a knife collection that she absolutely loaths. Says I’m gonna stab someone. After a good ten minutes of laughing after that comment, and reminding her of my past she walks away. She won’t change her mind, ever I think. I don’t get it.

Man, I’m 44 years old. I ain’t been killing anyone, and I ain’t lookin’ to either. SHE SHOULD LEAVE ME ALONE BEFORE I GO BANNANAS.

Ha. Just playin’

I think the cause of such consternation is that society has gravitated away from the normal things of life, survival, and provision to oneself and family.

People have forgotten the skills of self sufficiency for convenience of just go to the store or pay someone else to do it. (HAH! We benefit from that last one, right?!)

I’m not saying we go back in time to harsher times, but embracing the skills that provided man so well for so long does not have to be only in a history book or museum.

I sold a knife collection I had and am rebuilding a smaller one as I see ones that strike my fancy. I also live in an area where hunting isn’t as convenient as it once was, but I still enjoy the beauty and craftsmanship of a well designed and built gun. They have many uses - self protection, hunting, varmint clearing, marksmanship.

lol, now thats funny.

I’m with ya on that one pal.

If Im washing windows mainly late at night, I have two T blades, Along with Glue spray. The T blades slice through Denim easily, leather they penetrate but slicing takes a few goes.

Obviously not a Socialist if you believe in your right to protect yourself at all cost.

For the same reason we lock our doors
