Had a guy call he once from a referral. He’d been remodeling a home and decided to clean his outside windows with windex and paper towels. He got about half of them done before he realized he scratching them all to heck. So when he was asking about the bid he asked if I could fix them. At the time I didn’t have a scratch removal system - wasn’t a lot of people doing it yet, and they were pretty bad. Told him someone might be able to fix them but I didn’t do that. Best not to scratch them in the first place.
Paper towels might not scratch glass (not supposed to use them on my glasses ) but dirt and small rocks from the window sure will. If there’s any loose debris / dirt that could scratch the glass it should removed before doing any serious scrubbing or buffing, imho. With a brush preferably. The individual above had been doing landscaping and had dried mud on the glass. He was just wiping it off with paper towels and spray cleaner. Just a grinding that dirt in… lol
