This is another one I find confusing. The safety equipment is supposed to arrest your fall completely, not allow you to hit the ground. I don’t understand why the maintenance man tried to pull him up, that is virtually impossible. Didn’t he work with a partner trained in rescue? We always do. Especially after he was only cleaning windows for 4 months. I would watch a man with that much experience like a hawk. He is lucky to be alive. High rise window cleaning can be safer than driving a car if done properly. I strongly recommend all HR window cleaners to take Stephen Bright’s safety training course to prevent incidents such as this.
