Winter marketing ideas residential

Well, this is kinda going off the road.

In the winter (more so with us in bad winter areas) we need to keep a cash flow. Like mentioned earlier, “I would rather make $100 than nothing”. Damn straight!

I think Tony has done a wise thing, not to be scutinized but applauded. He has made a residual income where most of us residential guys flounder and sit on our computers looking for magic pills.

Here is the key not only in a tough economy, but winter in general. Almost all service businesses stop or slow down advertising, even house cleaning! Why? It is one very screwed up psychosis. Last January is when I figured out the up side to advertising this time of year.

If it is harder to get sales does it make sense to advertise less? I find it hard to multiply zeros…

Go get some

Thanks for all the input fellas. I was reading this and was encouraged. I slowed down due to hunting season here in Pa =). Putting meat in the freezer is almost as good as getting paid.
But am now thinking of advertising more. This is my first winter and I only have like 2 or competitors…but I live in quite a rural area, so fewer potential customers. I am doing quite well with the commercial side though.

Is your avatar what you use to hunt with?
