So I have to ask… *** and Jeff Klass seem to be resentful of you guys having this. Jeff is going to great lengths to tell us that when it comes to these particular poles, *** is the ONLY place you can get them (yet I see you have a few left from before).
So my rant is this: Why does he love trying to make everyone feel like he has this special Monopoly on a nicely priced yet mediocre pole? I guess I brought my feelings over here because I am afraid of what could happen over on [World]. If he is referring to Reach Higher Ground’s house brand pole (which happen to be orange), I really hope he is not being this prima donna. I mean we are all business owners, and we know about competition, and we know about trying to market our products/services. He doesn’t focus on the features, let alone benefits, of what he has to offer… it’s always coming back to his [perceived] monopoly! I guess it just really rubs me wrong that the company who bought and reverse engineered RHG’s 5-stage RO/DI cart, from what I can tell (and sell it for MORE money, no less) seems to be trying to pigeon hole RHG.
It is no secret that I like RHG for many reasons, and it feels like the only ammo these guys have is negativity.
I got the same impression, Curt. It seems to be the only way *** can compete is w/ underhanded tactics. It wouldn’t surprise me if they were behind S****'s refusal to sell to WCR. Poor business model if you ask me.
Jeff’s recent succession of posts – today’s on WCN (he posted the same on AUWC) and [I]many[/I] others – speaks to the change in his integrity since he became employed by ***.
That’s great to know. If I want to buy another Extel pole or parts for the one I already have I don’t have to buy it from ***. Not that I would buy anything from them anyway. I didn’t buy the one I already have from them either.
Now that I see that company for what it is (unless they can somehow change my mind) I really regret the purchases I did make there in the past. Of course WCR wasn’t around then anyway
I really believe that something happened to Jeff. He was a really upstanding guy and I enjoyed talking to him on the phone in the past. When he became the pres of AUWC I was quite pleased. I think that his involvement with “said company” has had quite a negative impact on who he is. I still think he is a great guy at the core… I just think he has been sucked into a bad company and then pushed to be the “face” of that company. If the company ever disappears or is forced to lay off Jeff, I think we’ll have our man back.
