I’m 21. Go to college, socialize, and work on a window cleaning business on the side. Started March 2018 and made $95 revenue my first month while going to storefronts and landing accounts (4 hours work of prospecting). Have one dunkin donuts account that I charged $40 (but they paid me $30 to see how I do lol). Then another italian sub place that I charged $20 right across it.

I’ve been cleaning windows for approximately 5 years in New York - working with the best of the best and having a great, disciplined, and cutthroat boss. Early on I knew how to clean windows with the professional technique. Only now have I decided to go into business for myself. This was all due in part to a friend of mine who saw my dad’s little side business and decided he wanted to make his own. We slowly partnered up after his partnership with two partners ended and then he left as well so I am doing this all solo.

This is a little side business I have where I made $60 an hour in one job (inherited from my former partner) and $600 in another job. $600 customer. A customer that my former partner asked me to go see with him and is how I ultimately got into a partnership with him. I thought “Wow, this guy landed this job? I’m in!” So that’s as far as my window cleaning career goes. I know the art of window cleaning very well but the art of running a business? Not so much yet lol. But it’s not a burning desire or something I’m obsessed with (yet).

I ultimately would love to grow this big. I could see myself waking up 6 AM working on this around the clock with a wife or girlfriend by my side. Just now I have multiple focuses and I don’t want to sacrifice them all to work on this business. Who knows, maybe that would be more wise. I go to college to socialize and goof off. I did make the dean’s list last semester which is (TBC).
