What’s on your wish list for next year?
I’ll go first:
2005 Dodge Dakota. I need to have my S-Corp purchase my personal vehicle.
SendJim. Really starting to think this could be a worthwhile investment. As I learn more about CRM I am realizing that I my efforts have been very inconsistent.
TCF. Hear lots of good things about this product from forumites but I need to study it more.
More brushes for high overhead cleaning.
Excelerator. I don’t do much storefront but I want to keep up with the cool kids.
Soap and other liquid stuff. I will buy anything that @Henry puts on the market. I used the prototype Cheetah and had great results. I need a refill to clean the salty tears that I stained my shirts and van with when I ran out.
HWS stuff. Not sure how much stuff I should get but I am enthusiastic about being able to recondition glass.
Polo shirts with embroidered business name and #.
Website.
Banner. The fight team that I sponsor will be fighting in my hometown February and sponsors need uniformly sized horizontal banners.
Well that was fun!
Edit: Reason - Progress.
3. I purchased TCF.
5. Excelerator. Enroute thanks to @wcs ! Thanks Steve!
7. HWS stuff - bought some neat looking brush attachments for my cordless drill.
11. Buy a Cut N Slide. Did that today! Looks like a great way to stay in shape for WFP work!
1.) The Customer Factor. I’ve been using the free version of HCP and I like the database. TCF seems like a better deal in the long run. So I plan to make the switch some time in January.
2.) WFP system. Probably something like the Reach-it mini. Just to save me time on exteriors (especially french panes) and to reduce the amount of time spent on ladders.
3.) EDDM materials. I’ve been saving up for a spring campaign. This will be my first mail advertisement to penetrate the more exclusive communities that do not allow door hangers or solicitation.
4.) Solicitation permit. So I can legally sell my services door-to-door in neighborhoods with public roads.
5.) A new hat. The one I have now gives me a rash on my forehead.
You are a very focused and fun man Malcolm. Hoping you get all that you
want and enjoy it. Thank you for beta testing what I am bringing out. I
got some new stuff to send over shortly. Been playing with it lately.
Possible billboard ad (there’s a unique, very strategic location i think may actually be worth it)
Aztec screen washer
32’ ladder
Gutter cleaning equipment
WFP system
Pressure washer
Some of those items are pricey, but I’m happy that for the most part I’ve got just about everything i need. Barring something horrible happening, I’m anticipating 2017 being a fantastic year. The advertising campaigns and equipment investments should prime 2018 to finally be truly profitable.
Ahh, you are primed to start the latest WC hat war thread. I haven’t used Search for “hats” but I am thinking this is fertile territory.
I will stick with my Sou’wester. It is the ultimate design for headwear.
You might want to talk to your tax guy on this one. For the amount of miles you’ll put on the truck you’ll get years and years of mileage deductions whereas writing off the purchase is really only a one time deal.
Good point on the one time use of the purchase deduction. However, there will be plenty of deductible expenses from purchases of gas, parts, repairs (it has more than 193,000 miles ugh ), new summer tires, etc.
If I was buying a newer vehicle with higher value I would seriously consider depreciating the asset.
You have a solid “wish list” but CF is a no brainer! Automated everything, reminder emails, thank you emails, appointment reminders, accept cc’s thru the system, text message reminders, phone app to access calendar/ send invoice. It’s an unbelievable time saver, definitely worth the money.
