2019 Realistic Goals

After Christmas I will be sitting down with my wife and setting some business goals for 2019. I started my business back up this year with a different mindset. I want to be as realistic as possible with income, systems and growth. I have a couple of ideas but am looking for more ideas and advice. Have any of you set your goals for 2019 yet? If so, what are some of the goals you have set? If you have not set goals for 2019 yet, when will you set them and what are some of the things you will focus on?

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year my fellow window cleaning brothers and sisters! :snowflake::snowman_with_snow::santa::partying_face::gift:

Depends on the specific goal of when I will set.

Some will be set in the next 2 weeks. Others set, potentially re-set till the end of Feb.

We install Christmas lights, so we get to take them down. Translate to our company calendar year is Feb 1 to Jan 31st.

I’ll set a annual sales goal broken down to
Monthly sales goal

^Our north star for the year with respects to goals.

Then it’s just fun goal.
Increase pressure washing sales to x
Increasing crew upsells
Eliminate office redundancy
etc

I haven’t set my goals yet. I know it will help my focus if I write them down.

I’m just starting my business this year and I live in a very rural community. I will be working a few other towns that are close by. Also this is part time for me for at least the first several years. In trying to be realistic with my goals I have planned to gross 5k in the first year and increase that to at least 10k the next year. I plan to re-evaluate my goals after that. I will only have two days a week and maybe some nights as I still have the day job Monday-Thursday.

Need to get my lower back worked on by someone that knows what they’re doing. So far no luck.

Write it down or it’s just an idea

My primary goal for 2019 is to do more power washing and less window cleaning.

2018, PW made up 22.4% of our income.
WC was about 66%, with gutters, snow removal, and tips making up the remainder.

This year, I’d like to get PW up around 40-50% of our income. That’ll easily put us over the 6 figure mark, working the same or less hours than I did in 2018

My goal is to increase total sales by 75% this year and increase my monthly & every 6 week accounts by 50 (I’ve already added 2 new clients!) and quarterly accounts by 100.

I want to get more training in PW and increase it from a few % to 15%. I want to get into the trash bins cleaning business as well.

I will try to schedule everything Monday-Thursday with half day Fridays for finding new clients, filling the schedule (calling the client list, mailing cards, etc.), maintenance and follow ups.
