Chris,
Is renewal at the start of the year or one year after initial entry to the WCRA?

A storefront post card or flier would be great.

I have not seen any in the store.

bellawindowcleaning Renewal is exactly one year from initial sign up. If you want to know your renewal date please feel free to send me an email: [email protected]

wcs We had a member suggest storefront postcards and we designed two. Maybe these are what you are looking for. If not feel free to leave a suggestion on how we could do a different take on this!

Thanks Jessica i did not see them in store.

Maybe a different photo would be better and maybe a text box for specials or pricing more like a 1/2 page flier 2 up.

Chris,

Maybe this is just a pipedream, but the Men In Kilts thread got me thinking about this again:

A central phone line that people can call up to get an instant quote. Have some kind of software interface for WCRA members similar to ResponsiBid where we can input our pricing structure, and also sync up our work calendar. When someone calls the quote line, the receptionist captures the customer’s contact info, and then references the pricing list for the local WCRA member in order to give them a quote over the phone. If the customer agrees to service, the work could be scheduled and instantly synced with our calendar.

This would obviously need to be an additional monthly service, and it would also make sense to limit it to one WCRA member per service area. I think that if there’s substantial interest in this type of service, it could be really awesome for all those involved.

Hey Chris,
In the chart above, under Business Development, I would like to see information relating to “business systems”, or “operations”, and even “job descriptions”.
Thanks,
Brady Miller

Hey Brady its good to see you, been a while.

We actually do have business systems from my old WC biz. You can view 7 of them now in the private members section. We have 12 more completed that will be released once a month this year.

We have a new WCRA website thats going to launch in about a week, they will be able to be downloaded from there as well.

Alex I don’t think this is going to be on our road map any time soon.

But you may want to check out a combination of 2 WCRA benefits. ResponsiBid and Answerworx. I think I heard that they can take your calls, and run a customer through a bid using ResponsiBid from your site with all your pricing in it.

You can get a sneak peak at what systems we have and will have soon here: WCRA Systems

Hey Chris,
Yes, it has definitely been awhile, too long actually!
Have been going sideways for last 2 years, revamping/stream-lining operations, this year marks my 10th year in business!
Now that I’m a member looking forward to more learning from you and others!
Thanks, Brady.

mettlermaintenance, I just checked out Chris’ suggestion of answerworx, and I found this on their website:

"We also offer restaurant reservation services, dispatch for mobile service organizations, short/long term RSVP for events, and appointment scheduling.

Let us customize a plan to fit your unique business needs! Please call or email us for more details."

So chances are, they could run a lead through the responsibid program and give them a quote. Hadn’t thought of an “answering service” being able to offer that. Their plans start at $50/month, and the WCRA membership gets you $100 off per year.

Cool! I just might have to check that out!

With my 1000th post I will bring it back to my first WCR suggestion. Russian Mail Order Brides. My home is never cleaned when I get home and no food is waiting for me.

There’s a growing hole that may need to be filled in the industry. The iwca appears to be losing traction. Poor leadership and thinly veiled agendas appear to have damaged some other organizations in this and related industries as well.

What can wcra implement that matches what these organizations already try to offer? How can wcra avoid the pitfalls that have damaged/ruined them?

Standardized safety training? Dialog with glass manufacturers and industry specific product developers? Some other thing? I don’t know, but there’s opportunity here.
Chris, I know you are thinking about this stuff.
