A case for plastic tools

So… I just got home from a callback at a residential job. The homeowner found some hairline scratches that I failed to observe and bring to her attention while working. (only visible in sunlight; the window was shaded when I cleaned in the morning.)

To my eye, they resembled razor scratches from whoever did the CCU. At any rate, I could tell right away they weren’t from my cleaning.

So I let her handle my equipment, which she remembered from earlier when I did the work. As it would happen, I had used only plastic tools from Moerman (liquidator/excelerator + t-bar) on that job. That went a long way in convincing her that nothing I did could possibly have damaged a normal window.

Anyone else have experience(s) where plastic tools have absolved you of all guilt when it came to property damage?

Never thought about it that way. Good save!

Wow. Yet another benefit to the liquidator. We’re up to: ergonomics, less detailing, and now I-didn’t-scratch-your-glass evidence. Polznblades need to come out with a video now where he’s convincing a householder he didn’t scratch their glass cause he’s using a liquidator… set to techno music, of course.

Absolutely the most underrated, unappreciated benefit of having a channel with plastic end clips. I’ve been quite vocal from day one on this feature.
