I did that, but even more trick…I drilled two holes in each pipe, and bolted them to the ladder rack underneath so they sit over the cab of my truck, totally out of the way, and easy access. Painted them black…I dont remove the brushes this way, i have them side by side and secure them from sliding out with a rubber snubber, just loop around and bring the hook down to the bed, they never move…Ill get a pic…
They sit about a half inch over the cab, no issues, bolts have nylocks on them so the nuts dont fall off, and I ground/sanded the open ends and rounded them so they wouldnt damage the poles with the sharp edges.
David,
That looks like an electric pump. How do you use it? I’d like to see the rest of your setup
I’m nosy, but always looking for good ideas.
Thanks,
vic
Sorry you had to waste some. We live and learn. I just bought a couple sets of those Quick Twists, and will use at least one this weekend.
I have gotten stingey in my old age. Whenever I cut a tie, I cut it right next to the connector, so as to maximize the the reuseable length when I need to use one again. I have a collection of used ties to use around the house. Not on the truck, as a weak tie could lead to trouble while moving in traffic…
Thanks fro asking, Dan! It was a pleasure helping someone else out for a change. I am usually the guy with all the questions…
