ALACO 4 foot top FOR SALE - 9/13/19

SOLD
Hey window cleaners

I have a 4’ Alaco top for sale. Use it as a top section or easily convert to use as a center section if u have 2 extra yokes and add an aluminum bar that fits inside the rung.

Asking $175. Local pick up in San Diego preferred. Willing to ship if you pay for shipping costs.

Email with questions.

thanks

Sorry to say but that is not a top section. It’s a bottom section placed against the wall upside down. That being said I believe a four foot bottom section would be much easier to sell. I think more people would buy a short bottom section to make height adjustments as they work their way around a building. JMO

PS
Or they could use it as a stump ladder.

If that were the case, there should be pegs:

I think it was a weird top piece designed for people more familiar with using an extension ladder. When I bought my used Metallic Ladder set, it came with a 3 foot top piece just like what’s pictured above. I never used it, but the previous owner apparently did, as they were never trained how to use a sectional; they were told it was the standard window cleaner’s ladder, and they just used it like an extension ladder. They didn’t even have a pointed top piece for it.

Now I’ve seen it all. That’s crazy. Thanks Alex.

So what you’re actually saying is it’s useless. Unless you need a expensive stump ladder. lol

It’s a top.

And it can be converted to a center or bottom. I’ve converted pieces myself.

How are you going to do that with no posts.

My four foot middle section has posts, one on each side for the next piece to lock onto.

But it doesn’t have a point with a v groove to rest on the corner of a window frame.

You’d be better off with an extension ladder, right?

@BostonMike This section is probably going to be more for a window cleaner that is handy with modifying their tools.
