Thanks! No, it’s stock photos from my web designer. The only one that is truely mine is the gutter whitening pic. It’s actually the one Bob uses for the F-13 promo on his website. I gave permission to Bob and PT State to exclusively use it.

Hey there Alex,

Say not only does it now have 266 post but 5891 views…IN 30 DAYS !!! I don’t think there hasn’t been a bigger thread, OH and it hasn’t left the front page yet. OH YEAH !! Thanks PeterPeter…

And yes, I’m loving the ecover too! I used it on a DI job the other day as a pretreat. We picked up a new restaurant, and we’re DIing the outside, but the patio area was filled with greasy hand and food particles, so I soaped them up just before my guy started DIing the windows…worked great and sped up the DI on that side cause the ecover cut all the crap before hand…never used a scrim yet, we were using huck, but just recently switched over to microfibers…

I’m glad I have been following this thread from the beginning. If you just started reading it today, it would take all day to get through these posts. It’s become the great window cleaner’s novel. lol

Dan when i first posted about ecover on a uk forum! i never thought it was going to be so widespread as it is now, christ i am getting emails from all over but should have known as it is good stuff,

but glad that i came across ecover as it seems to have helped a lot of people!

cheers james!

Scottish James,

It’s because your a " Shaker and a Mover " …You and John G. get er done, and I for one am very, very, pleased with Ms.Ecover. Every single day I use it I’m more and more impressed, it’s the friendliest soap I’ve every used !

Definitely speeds up your work time . i would say you cut 10 % in a day . because you know that it aint going to leave any streaks or smearing… i by that i mean wiping glass for any left over water with a scrim one wipe and you dont have to look back.

really helps get you into a rhythm and focus on the job… = effective working

James,

I’m still wondering how you came across it. I’ve used dish soaps in the past and they’ve all been the same. I remember buying Joy Professional from a local janitorial supply company that they were selling for window cleaning. It was no different then regular Joy. The same was true for 7th Generation. Slight differences, but nothing to right home about.

Thank you and Peter for sharing Ecover with us.

PLus 1, Have to say it has worked well every job Ive used it on

Please listen carefully …

if your the type who uses a 14 " squeegee… try now !! with the 18 " you will see that due to the extra glide… the 18 " works very very well indeed… especially with soft rubber and the green unger ergo tech…

this will speed up your work now probably more than 10 %

Since all of you were so wild about this ecover, i ordered some as well, lol…
I received my 6 bottles this morning and me and my partner did about 720 french panes with it today.
im sold, so is my partner, this soap is awesome.

I do a lot of House Washes, using a Soft Wash method, where Dawn dishwashing detergent is mixed with bleach as a surfactant. I know there are other specialty surfactants that may or may not be better… but Dawn is cheap and readily available, and it’s also what we use for cleaning windows, so it adds to simplicity to use the same detergent for two applications if possible.

Has anyone used this Miracle Soap E-Cover as a surfactant in a Soft Wash? If it doesn’t fly there, it won’t do me any good.

The best way to learn is to just try it…And the surfractant in Ms.Ecover is awesome !

I would say Ecover is a weak soap. but a great soap… you might have to put more in though of the ecover i mean … i clean my dishes with ecover and did a pan that had fried something … you need more of the ecover to get that Fat away ( plus hot water ) but it was always so with washing up liquid when attacking fat from a frying pan…

I would say that E-cover would probably not be a good soap for soft washing.

Michael, I’m not trying to start a softwash soap war, but dawn is probably the most costly soap you can use and it also is not chorine stable. I know it is readily available and I have used it, but dollar for dollar, you spend more of it than you would on other surfactants that are chorine stable. I bought one of my surfactants by the drum because it was more cost effective than using dawn and I mix up a batch of housewash mix 75 gallons at a time. Just wanted you to be aware so that your not limiting yourself and exploring other options like the ecover. We tried it for the first time last week and it has now replaced our dawn for window washing…
