Amazing washing up liquid " ECOVER " video

Thanks for the kind offer, John. You’ve got me thinking. I have a small pump up sprayer, a DI cart and I’ve been using a 20oz squirt bottle with cleaning solution in it to wet my strip washer for years.

Why do you like cold solution on your strip washer? Something to do with evaporation?

Thanks for all the great videos on YouTube, they’re inspirational.

Mike cold water does not streak so much ( yes evaporate ) especially when i have to both inside and out. inside heating on sun shining in. the thing about the bottle of diluted solution is… Mike i do mainly Private homes and the German windows open inwards so its - 5 outside i can still use the solution but minus the ecover with the anti - Freezing agent with cold water… normally tgough in Winter i will hit all the inside windows with a seperate washer. this washer has ecover or sim… and the Outside windows are hit with another washer which has the Anti . freeze

  1. i hate too many suds
  2. your solution goes way way further
  3. your putting fresh clean water back on your washer on the area of the washer which is in contact with the glass
  4. the more suds one has especially when you do a lot of wringing out of cloths like i do. the worse your hands and the more chemicals which go into your body. ( i dont use gloves … only in - conditions )

mike ive said it all along the job is hard. we all need to help when significant information comes out… ive learned a lot of these forums too and just want to give back…the easier our jobs are the more energy we have… its all about Energy and feeling strong.so when we do feel weak these little tricks and tips can help things a little

bloody cold here in Germany at the moment …for november…its in - but the heat of most houses is stopping any water freezing … just the metal sills freeze at the Moment . but that will change soon when it starts hitting -2/3 +

John,
I’m thinking of using DI water in my 20oz. solution bottle with Ecover and plain tap water in my bucket, no soap, so I can rinse the dirt off my strip washer from time to time. That’s a small change. I am really enjoying the extra glide I am getting with Ecover. It rained on my storefronts last night. Sure hope they didn’t spot because I give a no spots if it rains guarantee. I’ll have to check them today.

I’ll have to throw my sprayer in the van just in case I want to give that trick a try. DI with a drop of Ecover.

I’m just itching to try the Ecover but only a few health stores sell it here and only in the downtown area. At least according to Ecover’s web site. Mind you, there are plenty of other plant based soaps out there that are sold closer to where I live. Mayeb I’l give some of them a try first.

Mark,
I saw Ecover dish soap for sale at a regular super market in the Boston Area. Take a look on the shelf. If they have it you’ll find it sitting on the shelf near the Dawn. Haha

I’ve been looking Mike, so far only ‘Green Works’ or other natural/eco brands but so far no Ecover. If/when I do find it I’ll give it a go. If I like I’ll buy a whole case. Btw, I’m one of the ones that like a squirt of dishsoap in with my GG4. I like a tiny bit of suds but mostly I like how it keeps GG4 spread evenly across the glass. Sometimes with GG4 the glass almost seems hydrophobic, the solution breaks up on the surface. Hmmm, maybe just me.

Hey Mark,
I feel the same way about GG4. You can fan a window with GG4 but it’s really hard to turn it up a couple notches and fly through the work unless you add something.

The Ecover is NICE. John says there is less residue than GG4.

Mark, there is also 7th Generation dish soap, I would assume that you guys may have that up your way.

Thanks for the suggestion and yes we have it here…

But guess what? I just popped into a health food store I used to frequent and found the Ecover! YEAh! So starting tomorrow I’ll give it a go.

if you do a lot resi Mark your on a winner… try the ecover on its own with the pure water in a bottle first… you will be mildly surprised… whats important if it kicks off is that the competition in your area does not know about this… ime keeping hush here about it because if the other firms got hold of it. it could put a squeeze on the work flow in the future … … it does have great benefits especiall when working in sunlight and heated places … in winter… its something quite special in my eyes…the only question is here is the resoiling…mark with your sprayer that you carry around with you i find it works best when you wet the window down quickly with pure water… this stops the washer drying up and will save you visits to your bucket… trust me on this one .

Mark,
Give us a report what do you think about ECOVER and how do you like it would you?
Thank you

Oh for sure. i’ll give the ‘Ecover only’ test, Ecover with GG4 and report back in a week or two.

I’ve tried 7th Generation Free and Clear dish soap and found it leaves a residue similar to other dish soaps.

I intended to buy a bottle of Ecover washing up liquid today but got sidetracked. I’ll buy some in the next few days. I’d like to see Mark’s review of it.

video says its private…?

Perhaps WCR should run a big sale on GG4 and other window washing detergents before everybody stops buying them because they are using Ecover. It’s amazing.

Today is my first run with Ecover. i’ll be doing straight tap water plus Ecover. 3 gallons of water + plus 3 small squirts of soap and go from there.

Hey Mark,
May I suggest starting with one squirt and leave the bottle of Ecover in your bucket. Add soap until you have just enough to get some suds and the amount of glide you’re looking for. I think three squirts is to much. JMO

Well if only I read your post before hand. Turns out 3 squirts is more than eNough. Doh!

Hey Guys,
I checked the storefronts I did on Monday with Ecover to see if the rain storm caused any spots. AWESOME!!!

Looks like you’re going to have to add 6 more gallons of water.
