Angle adapter and deep sills

Did a job this morning that had several windows just out of my reach. When I estimated the job I noticed this and also notices that the windows had 6-8 inch deep sills. My plan was to use my angle adapter on my pole. When I got there to do the job I found out quickly that that would not work. I must not know how to use the angle adapter to my advantage. I set it on the pole but when I tried to close the squeegee into the frame the squeegee handle still hit the sill, keeping me from closing out. Did I set it up wrong? Thankfully I had my step stool so I just used that. But what would have happened if I did not have it or if the windows were taller then my step stool. I need to know so I can clean that type of windows. Thanks for your help.

Also it was an altogether bad angle for the squeegee. Not just at the bottom but also at the top.

I’ve found using an angle adapter in combination with a 0 degree squeegee to be a real prolem solver but it does take practice. See video below.

We use the Wagtail angle arm and zero degree a lot for this exact same situation.

yes I must admit I use the Wagtail angle arm all the time. it’s always in my cargo pants side pocket. I just posted the other angle adapter video as it is probably closer to what the original poster is using.

I have found Mark that you can take some of the play out of the angle adapter by drilling a pilot hole and adding a
#6x1/2" SS screw where the tubing attaches to the plastic swivel. Every bit of slop that you can eliminate helps.

I would also like to say that I have watched all of your videos several times and they have been the biggest single influence on what tools and equipment I have bought so far and will be as I gear up for WFP.
Well done!

Great, good to hear. John Lee is your WCR expert when it comes to wfp and pure water and is very generous with his time and knowledge.

Understood and will do. At this point in time I am assembling a backpack sprayer/Unger conversion kit/ReachIt brush set up similar to what Mark did in his videos. When I up grade from this I will certainly take you up on your offer.
