Another use for the pivot tool

I used the pivot tool today as a stand to tint some storm windows. Worked really well. You could also use it for screen cleaning.

Looks like another cool thing to do and great Idea. Biting my tongue on a remark that comes to mind. No more ladder war in this thread. I have went and got a 17’. Now I know what to do with the old horse water buckets. Hook them on the rungs and use as a storage/rinse/wash bucket. You sparked an idea. Thanks

Jack-Man didn’t edit his post…

Are you adding things into people’s quotes Dave? That’s not cool if you are, maybe the original post was edited and junker was removed by Jack, but if not you shouldn’t put your words in someone else’s post.

Agreed. What a classy move…

I did not add junker. All I know is that when the builder wants his corner windows new const done and cannot reach with ext, cannot put weight on Granite. It is a bear because I need a scaffold type setup to reach the windows. No pole works, nose to glass remove plaster from frame etc… Both hands required. The angle is too great because counters are winder than normal. 3’ plus. Corner is at least 4’. This gives me reach and free to work both hands. One end on floor other rest in ledge, padded of course. He is happy and keeps writing checks, going on 7 years now. He likes the idea.

I think the tinting is cool. Patrick, how is it held up there, brackets. Can’t really see. Is just the cutting area or you apply it right there?

Jack-Man levelers work better but the pivit works okay…And seeing what Pat is doing with it really helps elevate it’s functionality ! I really like what he is doing with it ! I just may be sold on it now to use it that why, ergo I’m advancing in the things I do as a window cleaner !

It is a neat idea. I just needed a lot of function that I can carry around without a truck. I always get the “Hey you” while in the area can you get this window. Usually a 2 story with a funky window setting. I can pole the 4x4 frosted bath windows fake dormers but just need a way to the roof to get at the recessed windows that all I need is to get on the roof. I would like a sectional. My ext is awkward and I am a hopper so bit hefty to hop and hope the rung clips hold. If the builders would let us get to it and tape it off before the cabinetry and counters are put in or commercial folks installing shelving so now we have a few feet of stand off beyond arms reach so the 90 degree comes in handy especially when you don’t know what type of framing is under the drywall edge. Will it support me and on a ladder at a 30 or 45 degree angle without sliding out? Nobody thinks “how will they clean that?” My problem to solve.

Jack
The rung clips or rather hooks on the rung , here check out Alex’s Video on it…Turning out to be a pretty functional tool !

Its a bucket, tool holder, leveler thingamajig. For leveling, sure beats the old wooden chock block:)

Dangerous you shouldn’t be adding your words into what other people wrote I don’t care what the word is, it is a misrepresentation. Sometimes people don’t read the forum with 100% attention paid to all the details, and could read the words you added to someone else’s post as the original posters words. I respect the insights that you provide, but in my opinion they can get lost in the weeds with the hammering on certain points, the super lengthy posts of emoticons and pictures, self quoting of the lengthy picture posts. Sometimes less is more. I also feel its very insulting that people that don’t do things the way you feel they should be done are journeyman.

I don’t see where it says last edited by anywhere in the post of yours I just edited. Not everyone looks at the forum the same way.

Your response of the zzzzz gif was childish and immature and I just want you to know that I too can act like a spoiled baby.

More info on the pivit tool By Mark …

As always a great vid by @ beautifulview, and a great tool.

The pivot tool hangs on ladder rungs. I just set the storm window on it. Tape on ladder rails of the little junker to keep from scratching the window. Then clean and tint as usual. Did 12 storms this way in about an hour. Great for mobile installs.

The little junker strikes back hahaha.

Pat was the plate able to slide off the pivot tool or is that why you had that little clap type thing on there !
