I just bought the Vikan - HandHeld - Soft Flagged Bristle Flow Thru Brush (unfortunately not yet carried at WCR Yet)
I had a chance to really use it today and wow what a difference. I used to have to clean all my windows with a long WFP and then I bought the 3 foot Simpole with the Sill Brush. This works great but I still had a void for close quarters windows where even a 3 foot pole was difficult. This little brush made my job so much easier. I must have used it on about 20% of the exterior windows at this large home today. Well worth the $19.00 and shipping costs.
I had used it yesterday on some 10 light doors and it was so easy it was almost unbelievable. Great product. I hope WCR decides to carry this little wonder WFP Handheld.
Can you post a link to the manufactures description of it? Not the distributor but the maker. Or maybe some pics? I’m having a hard time understanding just what it is your describing. Sounds interesting though.
Yes my feet got wet, but after making $150.00 per hour on this job I don’t care. I would do this all day if the opportunity came up. This brush really made a bid speed difference.
I can’t seem to find the manufactures site. I only see it at 2 competitors sites.
The job took me about 4 hours and 20 minutes. It would have taken me at least 6.5 hours if I did the entire job with a squeegee. The brush in the picture you sent looks exactly like the one I have except for the color. If you click on the picture and look at the rest of the product views you can even see the # of water holes on the brush.
The flow is really good through this brush. I have to turn down the pressure a little to save water.
I think it is overrated. I used it for a bit but I think it more of a hassle then anything. It uses a lot of water. My feet always get soaked, working a shorter time but with wet feet the whole job…not my cup of tea. Most of the time that I have used it on taller windows my abdomen area gets wet. The bristles are really soft and takes a while to get any serious stuff off. Not too cool with the weight of the hose being handled by one hand either.
So with all this combined (in my opinion) it makes for a very sloppy job site and an irritating tool.
I use it for screens and it works good for that though if you have an easel type thing to put the screens on. My feet still get wet though…
Edit: and there is definitely better ways to clean screens.
