Anyone do high dusting?

I’ve been asked about high dusting from a few store fronts. It looks like a back pack vacuum is the way to do it. What is the best way? Also, how do you price it? Thank you!

We’re doing more and more. Shop vac with brush attachments work best. Our most recent project we did 216 Sq ft per manhour, so you can figure labor costs. Then add expenses like plastic sheeting, lifts, etc.

That’s very helpful, thank you! Is there a way to get the vacuum on a pole? Is plastic sheeting needed if the vacuum is sucking up the dust?

Yes, you can add as many extension sections as you want, but if you need to get some upper surfaces, you’ll need a lift or ladder. The sheeting is a must, as you knock off some dust while your working. It isn’t expensive or time consuming.

Add a difusser/muffler to your shop vac. Also use a paper filter. A few duster brushes on poles help.

I agree with mulch tank. It’s easy just tedious. But you usually don’t have to be perfect like window cleaning. We’ve done a lot of this. Backpacks are expensive but ultimately better though. Also if you don’t care where it lands we’ve used blowers to knock stuff down. I love doing that. Also don’t forget mask, respirators, goggles.
