I’m in the same boat as Jesse. I signed up for house call last week and still haven’t figured out why it makes sense to switch my customers into this database. I know a bunch of service providers in my area, but why would we want to build this system with our customers and allow for the competition to potentially join and steal our existing customers?
Am I missing something here? I like the CRM aspect but Im at a loss for why to build their customer base with my customers.
How would a competitor steal your existing customers? HouseCall is simply a tool for your existing customers to be able to book you inside the app. Because they are your customers, you are the only window cleaner in that category that’s visible.
HouseCall Pro is just a tool to run your business with both web and mobile app. You don’t have to use the booking app if you don’t want to, just not sure why anyone would not…
I installed the app on my phone planning to use the CC processing only. Is the $19 per month fee going to be charged to me, or is that just for the crm/scheduling/lead generation features?
Yeah the $19/month is for all of the features, we believe in keeping things simple and not charging for every add-on like some other applications that are out there.
Message me: [email protected] and I can apply a WCRA discount to your account
Jesse are you logged into the HouseCall Pro app or web portal? You should be able to delete/zero out the information from the web portal: just goto Housecall Pro and then hit login with your username and password. Shoot me an email if this doesn’t solve this for you: [email protected]
i feel weird though, we rarely process credit cards. probably less than 10% of our total sales was paid via cc. it may move in the other direction in he coming years, but for the most part people still write checks (or have them written and mailed by their accountant, secretary, or bill paying service).
^ me too. I get checks issued from the clients bank all the time. Credit card payment? What’s that? Haha. I guess the point is that for people like Larry it seems that he could save a “G” or two a year. But for me it wouldn’t be enough to be a deal breaker. That said if the crm features are really good I may switch to house call. I’m thinking of trying it soon so I will keep all you guys posted.

Just shoot me an email and I’ll be happy to do a 1:1 demo with you. [email protected] (there’s also a WCRA discount). We’re constantly adding features onto our roadmap based upon what we’re learning from a couple people from this forum already.
Hey everyone, I wanted to let you know that we are currently integrating HouseCall Pro with Quickbooks online. This means that you will be able to manage all of your accounts from our software without needing any type of double entry. Eventually we will make it so that you can import your customer database from Quickbooks Online to your HouseCall Pro database. Great news considering that over 90% of service professionals use Quickbooks.
HouseCall Pro is positioning itself to be the one-stop-shop application to run your entire business!!
This is brilliant now housecall gets free data and clients to market to.
Or do you not have access to that? Many companies have privacy policies that doesn’t allow us to share personal information. If someone’s a member of the BBB you have to provide that.
Is any client data uploaded in the app kept private or does house call have access?
HouseCall Pro is designed to help you better organize, manage, and grow your business. Your client list is your own, and we are not allowed to do anything illegal with any of the data that we process. We are backed by payment processor Balanced Payments (certified and with full liability insurance). We are also integrating fully with Quickbooks, which means we have to abide by the same regulations they do. All financial and private data is kept safe and secure. You manage your own client database as you see fit. You will be able to add, edit, and delete any customers you wish.
Our booking app is free to all users. Your customer will receive three text messages: one when you confirm the job time and date, one when you are on your way, and one when the job closes out. Each message will contain a link to download the HouseCall Booking App for free so your customers can review you, so you can get paid hands-free when the job is done, and so they can see you on your way on the map within the app.
I guess I don’t understand what you mean by remarket. We don’t charge anything and we encourage your own clients to book you through the consumer booking app because it’s easier for you. You will soon be able to remarket to your own clients by establishing customer emails/postcard marketing campaigns. You will create the content for those, not us. We will give you a tool to remarket to your own clients. We won’t do it ourselves. The only form of remarketing we will do is to place that consumer app link on those automatic text messages, but this is just designed to make your payment processing and job scheduling even more easy. Its basically like having your own custom booking app for your customers. I don’t see a downside.
What wc’ers in San Diego are using it I recently moved from there and know a lot of guys I’d like to see what they think. This is an interesting piece of software
