Arizona Window Cleaning Companies

A friend of mine moved down to the phoenix area a couple years ago to start his business. He says the Hot summer months are like our (WA state) winter. Our winters “late November thru most of February” our residential pretty much dies off.

My question to you - Come March/April what % of your employee’s do you lay off if any and for how long? How many months is your slow “Hot” season? For the guys laid off, what happens to them, unemployment?

Hey Justin, not quite sure I understand the question… There is no slow season here (for me at least). We work through the whole summer, but a lot of window guys have little work during July and August because of the monsoons (rainy season). Being from a rainy area, you obviously know rain shouldn’t hinder window cleaning, and if you set up your business right, it doesn’t.
I only have one guy working for me, but we stay busy most all of the time.
Feel free to call me on Monday if you’d like more clarification.

Justin …
Arizona has to be the best place to be if you are a window cleaner or any business for that matter. Like shaun said it gets a little slow for some guys in the monsoon season. The only time i hear people getting laid off here is if they got fired !
I work for myself and only for myself. Worked with a few other window cleaners before and find it easier to work by myself.
A lot of window cleaners here i have talked to stay pretty productive … Then there are some that can’t seem to keep the ball rolling.
There is more work here than all the window cleaners here can do. as far as rain goes … Some customers just have have that mind set that the rain is going to spot the windows so when they have that mindset i will clean their interior windows.
It comes down to how much you want to work. If one is lazy then they will make all of the excuses one can say.
The only thing i can say about ARIZONA is that it does get a little toasty in the midst of summer. You just have to drink plenty of water
and consume a little bit of potassium so you don’t cramp up.There is no slow season here to answer your question
