Bad Economy?

NOT!

I have barely advertised and I am swamped. I was making poopy in my pants listening to CNN on how Americans are not spending…

I am getting more business then last year at this time.

How is it in your areas?

I’m so busy that it’s a struggle finding time to go do estimates. March was so busy I had to work a couple of Saturdays and Sundays. April has been great but I slacked up for a week because of pollen but I did lots of estimates and bookings that week.

I’m booked solid all the way through the end of June and the phone keeps ringing. And I haven’t scheduled all of my Spring time customers. I’ve just been leaving it at a first come first serve kind of thing. Those that call later will have to wait 'til I’m available.

This year is off the chain as far as getting plenty of work goes.

I got my flyers printed 3 weeks ago, passed out around 200 and haven’t had a chance to pass out any more since because I’m too busy. Internet has been strong in bringing me work. I’m actually asking my wife this morning to go through the calender and book my days off so I can get some rest. :stuck_out_tongue:

This month the ball is rolling pretty good, on track to meet or beat last April. I’m not doing any additional advertising, or at least nothing that cost $. Picking up a handful of new clients a week, most business is repeat customers. Currently scheduled two weeks out. Definately not seeing any bad effects from the down economy.

I have 5000 fliers set to go out and I am a little nervous…

nervous that the bank will run out of deposit slips.

I LOVE SPRING!

That’s a lot of flyers CFP. I had to stop at about 800 because I was getting so many calls.

My flyer for this year must’ve been a masterpiece for this area. I incorporated into my flyer much of the knowledge I learned from you CFP so thanks a lot for the help. Especially when you studied a flyer of mine in the past and gave me free advice.

But I’m also getting many referrals from happy customers. The website is helping out a lot too. Folks can get the website adress off of your flyer then visit the website and get a good idea of what you’re all about.

Thanks brother but give a round of applause to yourself for taking action.

I am very happy to hear you are kicking arse

This is one of two times in the whole month that I’ve even had a chance to check out the forum.

This is the most business I’ve ever had this time of year. I havn’t even done my postcard mailing. It’s all from our website.

I hope the economy keeps doing bad.

I do think it’s funny about the news. I’m not a big fan of conspiracy theories and how the media fuels the fear. But I did notice that on one of the big news channels was saying “Looks like the economy might be on the up swing” then another channel a couple of hours later was saying how bad it was. So I just laughed and thought they should get their stories stright or talk to the same people.

I just ran numbers last night and was a little taken back. 17 grand worth of work booked till June 20th. Still have plenty of slots open for those months. I only started advertising two weeks ago. Most of my bookings came from my website and repeat business. Phone rang yesterday more then any other day. I loved yesterday, everyone booked on the phone. Easy pickens yesterday.

Normally I have more people calling in by this time but the telemarketing has been working out great. We are slammed. Still need to do some ads though.

We are having our best spring ever! Right now we have about 4 days left to schedule in May and a few regular customers to on the schedule so that means we are putting new customer in June. Already have some stuff set up in June.

Man I hate when it rains but love when it pours. Been pretty busy here. Since 4/1/09 been booked solid, 6 days a week, in2 the middle of July. At the moment I’m just finishing up this monster of a home (8 full baths and 2 halves, quite the cottage no?) so have been leaving at 5:30am and gettin home at 7:30pm(1.5 hours travel each way). Stay busy till it snows :stuck_out_tongue:

Move that figure up to 19+. Just landed this gig OVER THE PHONE… It’s just one side of the building in and out, $2500.00. Told the customer the price could be higher if she misinformed me about access to the glass from the inside. ME HAPPY :D:D

the economy is doing bad? huh, I didn’t notice

Fellow wc’s,

                                                       HELP! Lino

Not sure of the prices in Ohio but with that much glass and that price your around $3.30 per window. Seems a little low to me for res work. But once again not sure what the pricing is in your area. In Jersey I would have charged $1600, most likely more as those type jobs can take some time to do correct. But if your confortable with the price and you can complete the job alone in a couple of days, get 100 customers and your working roughly 9 months out of the year making 50 grand. Do a good job and ask for referals at the end of the work and you’ll get there.

Jeeeez! My wife who hasn’t got a clue about the biz booked $2000 worth of work in about 4 hrs yesterday. Down economy my ass!

I haven’t sent out one window cleaning flier yet this year and no specials. Why would I?

Yeah, it is nuts here also

phone is going crazy here too, I don’t even answer it while working, otherwise i wouldnt get any work done lol thank god for voice mail

I’m pulling my hair out cause I can’t get no rest! I’m too young to feel this old… But busy is definitely a good thing
