Be careful with those WFP's

Well nice beach job today. My hose got a little hung up and I rested my pole against the home fully extended. Normally I never do this for this very reason. I went and unstuck the hose. When I turned around my super cat like reflexes, ninja skills and spider sense did not save me. I saw the flash of my brush head and then felt PAIN PAIN PAIN. Broke the little piggy toe. Oh how nice it feels. So what did I learn? Never ever no matter what break my own rules. I most likely made them when I was sober so they are most likely good ones for a reason.

Man, amazing it didn’t hit you on the head. What length of WFP were you using? Was it windy? The next WFP’s on WCR is about WFP safety. I didn’t think to add this situation to the list, but it probably should be there. Glad you’re OK.

Ouch! Sorry, Juggs. You could have saved him, Micah. I have to admit that I haven’t gone over any WFP safety with my employees. Except to watch out for wires. Can’t wait for the next episode, Micah, so I can show my employees.

Thanks guys. I was using a 25ft ionics multi-pole. Heavy as heck. It has a big ole viking brush heah on it. Normally I wear boots to work. But I wore sneakers today. I think part of the problem was I did not shut off the jets and the ones on the viking are pretty strong. I think the combo of the water, smooth siding and the pushing of the jet stream caused it to fall. There was no wind but it could also be that I just placed it wrong. Maybe I did not have it centered or something, but now the toe is just numb. Ah a few more jack an cokes and I’ll be dancing on it lol. Just something to think about when using a pole. I am very lucky it did not hit me in the head, but with that type of stupidity it should have.

Ouch!

sometimes you need to let them fall, I aways try to move the hose frist and work towards the hose.
Hope your on your toes next time!
Take care Phil
