Best Window Cleaning solution period

I’ve used soft water hard water DI water vinegar, ammonia, dish soap, imitation GG-3/4, Unger ‘stuff’ some soap from the pool store, different kinds of dish soaps and different kinds of wetting agents. I must say I waited to use GG-4 for last and it is hands down the best of the best of the best sir. No wetting agent needed just perfect.

Hello WCR

Will I just started a few months ago.My friend bought a small commercial route & I am helping him.Dont know if its me getting the sequence down or the gc4 with it but to me made a big difference in shine, less detailing, etc.Tried alot over the last few months.Right now 1 0z of GC4 for 3 gallons of water, a quick squeeze of bio kleen window soap to help me see it better & thats it…Thanks for all of the great info on the site to make it easier for me to not feel like a rookie any more…

SOAP WARS!!!

In for this

How many ounces of the GG-4 are you mixing with water? I have never used it before.

From getting info off the site

I use (1 oz ) to 3 gallons of water…I am a rookie and just took some advise off from the experts.the titan company that makes it says 1/4 oz per gallon.tried that first but like the 2nd recipe better…

Thanks for the advice! I will get some and give it a try.

I’ve been using ultra lemon Joy for years, then a few months ago switched to dawn. I liked Dawn better for really dirty / grease on windows! However, I’ve been hearing a lot of god things about ecover and decided to try a bottle. I LOVE IT! This stuff has great bio degreasing properties, good glide, and does not streak as easy in the hot direct sun (using pure water with it of course)

no, Soap War is the good kind of war. No one gets hurt… it doesn’t cost anything… and there are bubbles everywhere!

OK, thank you Michael, I feel better now.

Equal parts GG4 and Ecover, 1/4oz per gallon works well for me.

I love soap wars. It means all is good in the world. My vote is GG3 with a dab of dawn, it’s unstoppable.

I was gonna say TSP. lol

1 oz per 3 gallons of hard water.

Try Ajax orange soap and sorbo glide together. Ajax is really cheap to buy …I clean in an area that is so dusty that I’ll return to a customers house I did a year ago and it looks like I’ve never been there.
If your windows in your area are really dirty you’ll have to use more soap. If your doing just store front touch ups, the soap mixture probably isn’t so important. Save yourself the money on those stops. I live in Riverside County, it’s too dirty here.

I was originally gonna guess east county because it says San Diego and you said dusty then I saw Riverside so I’m guessing Temecula/Murrieta. Glass Gleam 4 has a wetting agent built into it and it stays wet in the sun and heat longer than regular soap and instead of having to mix two chemicals I just use the one. Although many are suggesting mixing with Ecover I must say I’ve never used that one but I don’t see the need to I’m head over heels for GG4. Its biodegradable neutral ph easy on your skin etc. etc. etc.

I use antifreeze with a little cocaine mixed in. Best soap out there.
